the first single, which is a bit bland, devoid of much that the first album had. Wouldn't surprise me if the rest of the album was the same.
two or three default poses. Above is one of them.
It was slightly weird, he did a little stand up, walked around his guitar then sat down again. He also had Jeremy Warmsley stickers on his guitar case, which is a bit odd.
At first I was a bit disappointed, but definitely a grower, once you realise that it's never going to match the hights scaled in others, especially I See A Darkness.
Love them though, great album.
that you don't get time to get bored of it. It's pretty chaotic, but I like it.
about onion rings here.
I knew it'd be 1/10. Haven't read it but look forward to reading it later.
I don't mind the album btw, Dom's reviews are always good to read.
Speaking of crayons...Hayden's tache looks pretty suspect in this video.
It's hard to write about bands if they aren't touring/releasing material...You can only review an album once.
was the first ever single I (my dad) bought.
I got this album to review (still haven't done it...) was skeptical at first but it really grew on me, and 8/10 is a fair mark really. It's a great soundtrack to driving late at night on deserted roads.
1/10 is probably a little bit harsh, it's probably a 2. I'd say 1.4 on the Pitchfork scale.
Save My Soul and Divebomb are really, really atrocious. Divebomb is nearly six minutes of interminable arbitrary noise.
Going to listen to it now. Not a massive fan of that Shortwave Set song, a bit bland. iLiKETRAiNS single is pretty good, and the Tokyo Police Club single is decent enough if you take it for what it is.
I feel sorry for them after last night...
competing for similar markets...something has to give really. Wouldn't surprise me if more festivals fall by the wayside.
Smartarses in glass houses...
"The winner will be picked on Thursday March 17 and contacted via DiS by close of business that day."
The next time March 17th falls on a Thursday is 2011, by might make you a little late for the gig...
I was going to go to Quart last year, but never got round to it. Norway was expensive enough without going to it though...
"oying. It’s a mountainous muck-up of drawled squeals and tired rip-off riffs, quirked-up Los Camp! styleee by the odd bow-on-fiddling, borne of molehill-proportioned musical know-how"
I think that constitues a mention of the violin.
I'm not sure if this is odd, or expected any more?
"Fucking Kasabian are better than this, and they’re fucking gash."
The bad news is we've had to cut off both your legs, the good news is the bloke in the bed next to you wants to buy your slippers.
Is going to be MEGA.
Though for a Tuesday night in Bedford it wasn't too bad.
Don't really want to waste my time even writing this reply to be honest.
I've just found out she's in Ipso Facto and I went to school with her...were in the same Music Tech class 'n all.
The man makes a good point. She'd better get munching those mince pies during her time off.
