Yeah...
We're working around this, should have a working SoundCloud set very shortly (big files).
Yes, seriously.
No Slow Club. Not in this list.
A glaring omission you say?
At number 20, I say.
Yeah.
I meant specifically the unveiling one-by-one on Twitter yesterday. But yeah, plenty to go.
Yep, that was definitely the aim for this first piece.
Think it'll continue in this manner, trying to highlight records that might not have got a full review on DiS for whatever reason. Often they won't be officially released here, or will have a limited release, available on Spotify/SoundCloud, some other download or a next to no PR campaign.
Yep. Great review.
This record is incredible.
Why?
Please do tell!
Yes. But the reason for me doing it like that is because I am at work.
Rather than me leaving myself open to change and presenting a first off comment. I might not even ever properly listen to this track, who knows?
Yeah. I like this album. But that's it. No great impact.
Has some moments of greatness but scattered it is. Kind of how I feel about Battles in general. Wall Street is up there with my favourite bits of the year but, no.
Fixed. Dodgy code.
Also, for some reason it originally directed to Ladytron, but should work now.
Why should a record be a "reminder" of their live shows?
I've never seen them. There isn't much to remember.
Sorry, but it is.
If you end up thinking it isn't, then you're wrong.
The songs on this are great...
...but the production, particularly early on, makes it really hard to listen to on any kind of decent equipment. But yes, a good album.
We do.
The dates were given to us in that order BUT have just e-mailed to check the dates are in the wrong order, rather than being on the wrong date. Hopefully for you it'll still be on your birthday.
I just don't know...about this record...yet.
The lack of immediacy - granted have only listened twice - compared to YN says a fair amount. I mean, it's good, I'm sure, but it's not as exciting, as grabbing as the first one. But hidden qualities may show up later...
Ha, amazing!
Thanks.
Yep. Orders were on from up high to slate this record.
"Higher than a six and you're DEAD MEAT", Sean said.
Quite right.
No idea why I got it into my head that they were from Portland.
My mistake.
Formatting was a bit fucked in the document I went from. Brain was obviously frazzled by the time I got that far.
Oops.
Keep doing this. 2011 festivals but it's still 2010. Just about.
Well, it could be...
...but it seems like a lot of effort to go to just for a single release?
Wrong place?!
What the HELL does that even mean?!
Not "bottom three", though Top 50.
If a record makes the list then it's a good thing.
TOP 10 FOR YOU! FOR YOU! BUT THIS ISN'T SUGARCUBE'S LIST!
IT'S DROWNED IN SOUND'S LIST!!!
Sorry press-release didn't state.
And I hastily knocked this up last night BUT it's from here -
Not so much.
But it's hard for the record to dislodge a solid favourite in the space of a week or so, no matter how good.
Yeah, I didn't meant to imply that but it perhaps did.
I meant more taken from Blogger (the playform) by Sony than taken down BY Blogger, although as you say it's Media Fire.
Yeah, sorry, my mistake.
Cock up in the brain department.
Correct, amended.
Doesn't appear to be any London date at the moment, but I wouldn't be too surprised if they stick one in later on.
YEP.
England is in the UK, isn't it? You wouldn't have to go to EVERY country in Europe for it to be a European tour, would you?
So glad that Hjaltalin got single of the week.
You should listen to the whole album, it is a masterpiece and has much more Of That Sort Of Thing, but mixed up a bit, like.
It's more when people say silly things like...
"THIS ISN'T A REVIEW. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW?" Etc, which get me.
BUT it's not the case that this was reviewed and another record wasn't...
...why do people always trot out this argument?!
Strange. Press release came through last week saying Nov. 1
There had been an awful lot of fucking around...
