I like the RT album club. They send lots of good cds.

I think Eduard is correct..

about there being no fee to watch the iPlayer. My pal has a TV with no aerial (for watching DVDs) and a pc to watch the iPlayer. However he does not need to pay the license fee.

I didn't like it on first listen

However I did like the Rough trade mix that came with my CD. It featured great tracks from A.R. Machines, Swamp Dogg, Goblin and Lyme & Cybelle

B) Robert Wadlow

Robert Wadlow

Hey Eduardo do you pay anything to the BBC? The people in Britain are meant to pay a license fee of around £146 to the BBC annually. This is then spent on obscene salaries, masssive expenses and the cash left over is used to pay for programming like Glastonbury!

What about The Radar Brothers?

I like The Radar Brothers who still release albums through Chemikal Underground.

Radar Brothers

I like The Radar Brothers who still release albums through Chemikal Underground.

Not one for the Bhoys then.

I suspect Kevin that you are a "Glasgow" Celtic fan!

He is maybe calling them Glasgow Rangers to differentiate from all those London cahnts who call QPR, Rangers.

It is fucking good

Mine just arrived 20 minutes ago in super quick time. There's not been a dud so far and I have heard a few bands I never heard before ...Dischordia, Finlay and Mark 700.

BEARSUIT should play!

Have they played does anybody know?

I just got the Fortuna Pop compilation through my letterbox and it is even better than I expected. I had never heard Dischordia before.

I saw THe Lucksmiths play once

...in Manchester at the Star and Garter and they were really good. I got the impression they were probably a lot bigger back home in Oz. There were not many people there, which was a real shame, but they all enjoyed it.

I'm ordering a copy via Paypal right now!

Eh?

How is that racist? Is it not a case of mistaken identity?

Are you for or against correct spelling? His name was Fashanu!

Poop!!

Great live!

Dead nice guys (and girl), modest and writing lyrics that touch a chord within many people's hearts.

I can see Glasvegas soundtracking chucking out time in pubs up and down the country, rather than hoary old deadbeats like Oasis.

McGee is on the money again.

Something tells me it is...

GRASSHOPPER

Tom Waits

He was in the audience for Tom Waits on Sunday night.

Mogwai on the M83

This is great!

Would you rather go to the V Festival?

Their main selling point is the number of showers and bogs they have.

I'll watch Calexico thanks

I think Tindersticks would send me to sleep if I was drinking.

His Dad's an MP (Labour)...

..but supposedly he is the son that they don't really talk about.

You're missing the point!

It might be the same as many other festivals according to line-up but its' USP is the beautiful location. It's something that a lot of you jaded London types could probably do with visiting.

I would certainly rather see Sigur Ros set close to the glorious environs of Inveraray Castle rather than a grim field in Slough or Reading.

Richard Kiel??

JAWS!

I saw The Fratellis

...play at In the City at Night and Day to about seven people. They were pish.

However they were a lot better a year later when I saw them at Academy 4.

Konk

...was the studio where The Kinks recorded.

MBV instead

I'd rather watch MBV at the Manchester Apollo. I've been to Glastonbury before but can't face the hordes of people and piles of shit and mud. It's hardly the Woodstock people make it out to be. It might have been in the 70s but not now.

Not at all

I've gone by myself before. You'd probably want to stay in a hostel rather than hotels, so you're more likely to meet festival goers.

How many lagers

Yes, but is is not the case that to fully enjoy listening to the band you need to drink unfeasible amounts of strong lager.

Marillion - need a McGee

Actually Marillion got a new singer in many years ago and moved away from the Gabrielesque pomp of olde and embraced new technology.

Perhaps McGee could have set himself a challenge to rehabilitate them in the public eye.

These Animal Men and all the other bands from their scene were utterly awful and possibly worse than The Paddingtons and Dogs.

Moz

I bet all the Puerto Ricans and other Latinos in the USA would not Mozzer to be racist.

Josh Pearson

Does anybody know what is gonig to happen with the unreleased Josh Pearson music?

Aw no Surfin Bichos!

I saw them last summer there. Manel Roig told me they were a legend and I didn't believe him until I drank a half bottle of vodka. Then I saw the light!!

Drinks!

It's a pity you can't take drinks from your chalet to the venue.
I might try smuggling a few half bottles of Bacardi in my socks.

Weller to collaborate with Girls Aloud?

Is it true him and Craig Charles were going to team up together for a girl group collaboration?
