gig was amazing
right about Mayer Hawthorne, had checked out a track or two first and liked it a lot, and was entertaining live, but there was a bit too much of a forced American "LET'S HAVE FUN!" type wedding band vibe being projected from the stage unfortunately.
I think
the Flaming Lips
I really like them
their sound is massively influenced by US stuff though. and this video is obscenely American.
haha
seems like Sub Pop are trying to make them fully American? I guess to go with the fact they already sound and look it. Video works though.
top drawer
I fucking hope I get my job there again this yeeeer
that saturday is fucking nutzzzzzzzzz
I want to kill
Jack and/or Nataly
brainfeeder at fabric tomorrow

"most people will buy after listening to a particular album"
so wrong. I bet it's like 1 in 47,546
it wasn't really a "riot"
there were some twats who threw things, but equally there was 6 police vans that turned up with riot shields
'Song for Dan Treacy'
awesome
mega-yay
.
a breakthrough is a breakthrough though
same as the flaming lips did, they wont win but I don't think it's at all a bad/odd thing they've been nominated. MPP probably sold about 10 times as many copies as Strawberry Jam.
"which is amusing after ten years in the business"
and finally breaking through this yeah yeah?
pretty early but we haffa contdender!
for pitchforks worst album covers of the year
solid
band
top right
fame is me

the blood of four fat goths
a lock of winehouse's beehive
a collection of sweat beads and hairgel drippings off the koko wall. post club nme.
the remains of a dodgy joint found on the floor outside the world's end
all mixed with a pint of snakebite into an oversized leather bondage boot
Metallica fans...
the ultimate "not getting the no band t-shirt at their own gigs" rule?
financially it isnt worth them doing much more
and a lot of time is gonna be spent on press probably. Just travel! Plenty of time to book a cheap megabus. You cant be that far from one of those dates? (unless you're in Ireland) It is quite annoying how "tours" are always like that over here, but think of other countries like the US and Australia, people drive for hours to get to gigs.
he'll probably throw something at you though
Low play all the time these days
looks like a half decent line up
these days if there's two acts worth watching on an episode then it's a good one
better than Talking Heads
and I love Talking Heads
"It's musically more on a par with V than ATP."
WELL DONE. YOU SHOULD BE LIKE SOME KIND OF HUGELY INSIGHTFUL STATING THE OBVIOUS (if you only look at the main stages) AND MISSING THE POINT ENTIRELY GUIDE.
nuts!
been waiting ages for someone to do a good remix of this
*my mate
.
Im fairly sure they will have sorted a smoking area
god people like to moan on here
didnt One More Grain really slag Green Man off?
or End Of The Road? Like, they weren't paying them enough to even cover travel...
.
C) Y’know, I think it will, as cheese can be pretty heavy.
it's an awesome title
it's like something out the Simpsons
I think the indigo2 is probably the best
mid-sized venue in london now. it's like Shepherds Bush Empire with better sound and views. I much prefer a dirty skank hole for certain gigs, but they've done a great job, £4 pints aside (hipflasks people)
I cant remember why I didnt go to this gig. Or the rough trade show.
yee
William + JoFo = joy
Get Cape
is as bad as the others mentioned, no? Almost... I havent actually heard Chris TT, he seems to only exist at Truck festival. Im sure he's probably alright actually.
*ends this pointless post*
Wireless then?
cant you review the whole event?
hello!
Im Amy and Im an indie
the link plays about 5 seconds of
some electro...
yee
A) ...an ice cream man
this review is so badly researched,
if at all researched (looks like all you did was go on the bands myspace and looked at their top mates, and didnt even read an interview on THIS SITE with them) that I cant even be arsed having a go at it, but I think it's a great fucking album and hopefully people will pay attention.
I dont really give a shit either way in terms of the Jay Z fuss but
can you stop saying the festival didnt sell out because of him please. It didnt sell out because the weather has been shite for ages, there are about 40 new festivals about, people have realised they can go abroad for a festival for the same price, etc etc...
Also, this is the first year they've announced the line up before it went on sale (I think), so there was none of that "I'll buy a ticket incase it's Prince" stuff going on. This was always going to be the year it struggled to sell. And I use the term struggled very loosely, there's only about 3,00 tickets left. Jay Z has nothing to do with it. Plus it will probably sell out by wednesday anyway. You keep talking as if you are some oracle of Glastonbury because you've been once, when if you did a minor amount of research you'd find out that it's only the past few years it has actually sold out in a minute (post-fence)
