can't stop releasing stuff. he works hard.
also http://drownedinsound.com/images/40800.jpeg i'm in that photo, looking disinterested. i wasn't. my favourite band in the world right now.
i don't know if it was this gig or the 93 ft east one, but one of them is the gig that will send the band into the big time. what a fantastic band.
this shit proves how no one listens to me. i told everyone they'd be touring around this time. i'm gonna wait until the inevitable other headlining tvotr shows are announced.
Do you remember those little things you’d strap onto your arm, and when you threw a punch it made a noise?
blud is too old to remember these? rah.
can't afford it though. ah well.
at neil young's hop farm thing. getting there was not a problem - eating a cheese and tomato sandwich from Marks and Spencer on the train and then a free shuttle bus, but getting back...getting back was pretty fucking bad.
we arranged a taxi man to pick us up at 12.05, about an hour after neil young finished as it was the only time available and that was ok, we only managed to get out of the gate at that time, but then he got lost. a taxi man, with a GPS got lost and took about an hour to find us and take us back to london. then i had to take three night buses home and finally got home at around 4am. pretty bad. all other festival times have been fine.
i need to see this band again. i can't believe i missed them at ATP.
i didn't really "get it" after two listens.
the last.fm stage is excellent looking.
it was just a guy with a ginger beard.
but el padre and the jetpack guys sound alright, particularly the former.
what a cunt.
2. Bon Iver
3. Wildbirds and Peacedrums
5. Atlas Sound
we want info.
the guy from a hawk and a hacksaw playing accordion and the health drummer, with panda bear doing vocals. safe.
than HEALTH. just about. it certainly goes live > disco > album for me, anyway.
walkingwithwolves who was coming back from germany to see the leeds show.
it's an incredible record.
i can only go to one of those dates and i'm not sure if i can even make that.
two of the finest bands around right now.
hot chip, jay z, santogold, hercules and love affair and saul williams are worth seeing.
i wish, but i'll be at ATP then.
i so wish i was going to pitchfork now, the line-up is 234 times better.
that venue sounds amazing, i think TNV and (especially) jay reatard would be worth crossing london for to see in a big square room :D
are you going to bardens? do you want to look after me, i'm gonna go on my own i think.
is it sold out then?
i really want to go to that gig...
YES! but so expensive :|
August 30 @ RoTa, London: Secondsmile (TBC) + support
just to hear 'fucked for life' live.
but i'd give it 10/10 personally. one of the best gigs i've ever seen, not sure how they could have improved.
the picture in this article is actually taken from them performing this song.
the national are one of the best live bands around.
which is irritating.
my interest has returned. what time/how much?
i wanted to go and see white denim, but i think i'll give it a miss.
i thought tubelord were fantastic, as ever.
fuk da h8rz!!111
sounds really good.
i think i'll go see them at the buffalo bar, although el guincho is on the same night with fanfarlo and munch munch...hmmm...
that's a bit big, innit?
this saturday should be great. quite an early start though! will get there about half four i think.
JBJ: While that was going on me and Calum were staying in some girl's halls of residence and she had loads of Futureheads pictures everywhere.
DR: Imagine if Laura went to that place (Laura is engaged to Barry from the band), it'd be like that episode of I’m Alan Partridge.
LD: Me and Barry met her, and she got a kiss off him and then wrote about it on her MySpace!
that's a friend of mine who sometimes (rarely) posts on here. megalol.
also play in london again soon plz.
ANTHALLO is used to be an emo band; now they make Broken Social Scene seem overblown, as they bash, soothe and tease like a Chicagoan Stars.
so much facepalm.
