Agreed

Nail on the head

Grammar?

Those cats are too busy being broke and just trying to keep their street worn paws above water - it's a jungle out there!

Yeah Rev!

You go get 'em - it's great having a hero of the people up there sticking it to the man and shooting giant Koi carp in a miniature barrel.

?

So you can't dance or sing to it but it's a got a fucking chorus? Ambassador you're really spoiling us.

Oh

Do people still read Pitchfork then?

Oh no

Gallows again.

Three cheers

for Blokecore!

Er

Two.

Hey

It's not that bad - Damage In Your Heart is very good especially. I blame Rubin's production sheen anyway - it doesn't suit them.

Wow

That's a great song!

Georgeformbycore

is the future.

Harsh

but fair.

Yes

I feel the same - a fantastic album. Everything I hoped for and potential fulfilled.
Horses for courses etc.

Yes totally agree

I didn't agree with the review but that doesn't make it wrong - an opinion can't be wrong, surely? It was well written and amusing in places so it's simply bad form to attack the guy as a writer.

Why do some Manics fans still have to be so precious? Is the answer in the question? I just don't know.

Yes

Good point Doive, you're guilty as charged there Joshua!

Very good album

and an interesting concept too.
Gives prog a good name!

QOTSA

Are metal now are they? News to me and possibly anyone else who has ever heard them.

Let

Burns have his say. And he's got a point about that old snake jabbing a knife around like that like it's the Princess Bride or something.
He's no fluffy pirate-esque rabbit.

I wish

I was American too.

Ah well

guess I'm the only one that really likes this song...

Er

Attacking him on his guitar playing of all things seems odd - he's not a bad player.

Peter Wichers

is an excellent guitarist - such a shame he's left Soilwork. I enjoyed the review, Raz. I hope KSE can come back with Adam to play that Bristol date though.

So what?

They made four fantastic metal albums that raised the creative bar and they are still an excellent band to see live. That's better than most. Millionaires don't make good metal.

But

they are good.

Yeah

That's right, good call on Cornell. God he's so annoying isn't he - he's always there, being like, annoying and Cornellian. And he is just like Tina Turner now you say - especially on Badmotorfinger.

But

when it comes on the radio I keep thinking it's Karma Police for the first few seconds...

Er

Celebrate Jesus dying?

But

he does look like Parker. That cannot be disputed.

Yes

They are good live I thought

Good old King Patton

Can anyone spot his hypocrisy in the clip?

Er

Am I the only person that liked the folk solo album?
I really enjoyed it. Doesn't mean I wish Idlewild would carry on cruising down the middle of the road mind.

This bloke

needs a slap

ahahaha

hahahahahaha

Revenge is a vulture - never forget that.

Of course

Axl's a twat - talk about stating the obvious. He was a twat in 1988. A lot of frontmen are and Stinson is always throwing tantrems, probably because he found out the Axl Rose Band's manager is referring to him as 'crew' in press releases.

Good point

The chaos of Fairfoul is missed...

But

this new song is rocking again.

Well

I thought that's what happened but I haven't been sent anything.

"Parker?"

"Yes m'lady?"

Collins

Yes, why do they keep rounding on Collins? It's always the easy targets with those Brothers. At least Phillipo isn't a Kasabian groupie eh!

In Flames

I've always been a huge fan of them on record but after seeing them live several times now, they really are lacking something. Sometimes they look like they don't want to be there.
But LoG and Bodom were world class - good to see them getting their dues in the UK.

Strange but true:

His second favourite song is Agadoo - largely for the bridge. You just never know what he'll say next, I would never set my watch by Thom Yorke.

It's good

but at times feels a bit by-numbers - like they could churn it out in their sleep, namely the middle of the album. But I really like what they do and the blend of melody and heaviness is really balanced well here. However I still don't feel they've matched Alive Or Just Breathing and I'm not just being one of those 'bring Jesse back' fools, it's just a more varied and memorable album in my opinion.

Says it all really...

Assembling artists for a covers album of her own material. Christ on a bike.

...

Yeah I liked them too, never got to see them live but the songs always make me happy. But I'm somehow not keen on the prospect of a Hawkins solo album - is it still going under the British Whale name? Bizarre.

Hey

A Zane Lowe voiceover said in a tv advert for this album that Rice was the most influential songwriter of his generation. I really enjoy that kind of hyperbole - it should be mixed with leaves and made into soup.

Yeah

Leave Tap alone!

Wah!

just loving the catty pop at U2 - wooh! Great. Not a very good album though compared to the first one.

Er

What you talkin' 'bout Willis? You're saying Motorhead have sold out as a result of this? Jeeez!

hmmm

I lost interest after CODY so I'm really interested in hearing this. Sounds promising.

Agreed on the early albums

And might as well Jump I say!
