I'm a big fan of theirs, particularly the last record. Looking forward to hearing this.

I was stood up at the front, making it as close to a 10/10 gig as I've ever experienced. But it seems like a others who weren't so close didn't enjoy quite as much. Which is a real shame.

Shamelessly rip off Thurston Moore and get a guaranteed 9/10.
Dare to pick up an acoustic guitar? FUCK. OFF.
It's not the greatest record of the year but 2/10 only serves to make the author look like a bit of a cunt.

They were on channel 4 late last night. I couldn't get over how horrific his voice sounds. All shakey-head warbling & John Lydon imitating. But i couldn't change the channel - i just sat there amazed that anybody, ANYBODY, would choose to listen to such a pile of shit.

I bought Plague Park a couple of months back and absolutely loved it. Looking forward to checking this out.

And as for your "beautiful singer" dig, i'd respond by saying that there are countless good looking women fronting the shittiest of bands on a weekly basis - none of them get a mention, and rightly so.

4/10? I think there are some really great moments on this record.

And Topper was a MUCH better drummer than you give him credit for- i'm pretty baffled by your description of him.

I think a great many DiSers will rip this album to shreds without listening to a single song.

I have listened to it. It's shit. But hey, at least i gave it a go!

6/10 seems a bit generous to me. I do think they've still got a half-decent record left in them though. But to do that they'll have to ban Andy Bell and Gem from ever writing another song again.Both of their efforts on this record are so so so bad.

As were the Agnostic Mountain Gospel Choir, The National, Laura Marling, SFA, Iron & Wine, Spiritualised, Fuck Buttons, Caribou..... Christ i could go on and on!

Amazing festival. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Howling Bells are just the most perfect band around. They sound fantastic. They look amazing. They should be on every billboard and every magazine front cover across the land.

I love how much he antagonises DiS folk so easily.

Personally I'd love to see Jay Z at Glastonbury but he's completely entitled to his opinion. Let's face it, it's not much of a shock to discover that Noel Gallagher doesn't like hip hop. Who cares? He's one of the few musicians who provokes a reaction in people through his interviews. Rather that than all of the other bland shite bands spout to promote themselves.
