Christ almighty
This is AMAZING
B) Robert Wadlow
I do love me some EOTR.
Add me to the list
Of people who would absolutely be buying this if they had lots of money.
Whee!
I'll almost certainly be going to the Birmingham date so long as it doesn't sell out in the next 30 days.
I seem to be the only person
who thinks his first solo album is a LOT better than this one. Damn guitars.
I've not listened to this yet, but
"but does anyone remember a song since ‘F&%£ the pain away’?"
Yes, "Two Guys (For Every Girl)" which is the best thing she's ever done.
Well alrighty then.
I think mainly this comes down to how I think My Body Is a Cage is the best thing they've done so far.
"the general consensus that Neon Bible was a slight disappointment"
Really? Am I alone in thinking it's better than Funeral?
I love this
kind of hyperridiculous journalism, Morely's always fun.
I just wish I cared about Patrick Wolf a bit more.
Most important fact gleamed from this
Nicky Wire sings lead on at least one song on this.
I look forward to the arguments on ForeverDelayed
I basically agrees with this
Love etc, Pandemonium and The Way It Used To Be are fantastic but the rest... Yeah. A bit weak.
Also I don't think I like any of the songs on this as much as I like "Integral".
Oh come on
Guitars are RUBBISH.
Ok, guitars are alright, but Kid A is probably my favourite Radiohead record.
I don't much care about Gallows
But this is a pretty damn entertaining review
This is nice and all
but it's nowhere near as good as any of their previous work
Awesome.
This sounds amazing. WANT WANT WANT.
I know that kid
He was actually saying he LIKED how she'd switched the genders of the charachters from First Love. He was not being a dick.
Film at 11.
I thought that was cute
and worked well.
But then I totally love Emmy so I can't really be objective about such matters.
(Canada's brilliant)
But other than that: Great articles. I do love the Low.
You totally failed
to discuss how BRILLIANT Single Ladies is. Yes, maybe it IS pointless by now, but come on. SO. GOOD.
I'm with Pitchfork on the lyrics
which are so painfully shit I don't think I can listen to them.
Good work, us
I officially turned out to quite like the Bon Iver record after my mother played the entire thing on a car journey so I can't even whine about that being boring.
THIS LIST IS GOOD.
This intruiged me enough to make me go and listen
to their MySpace, and I rather enjoyed it. THIS REVIEW: IT WORKS.
I, on the other hand
really enjoyed this. A lot of good albums recommended and with entertaining commentary.
Why? in the Top 10
= The Correct Answer
That line up
is obscene. Too much awesomeness. TOO MUCH.
I for one think
It'd be amazing if he followed through on the Laura Marling beef. I want folkpop diss tracks!
JLew
Has been used online to reffer to Jenny Lewis for a few years now. I AM SORRY DiS.
I am also sorry that the one Rough at 30 gig i'm going to is the one without Jeffrey. Bah.
Um, DIS guys
http://www.nme.com/news/lcd-soundsystem/41132
You... you should probably do something about this before you GIVE ME A FUCKING HEART ATTACK YOU BASTetc.
Goddamn.
That woman really is wonderful.
There was one good one
The song that The Mountain Goats did for Super Tuesday: http://weekendamerica.publicradio.org/display/web/2008/01/31/mtngoats/
April, I think
They're called "The NME Awards" though.
I agree with this review
AND with Pitchfork's review. How often do you get to say that?
Dear Rob Webb
I like playing Guitar Hero because I am completely shit at guitar and can't play it properly but I can do ok at Guitar Hero on easy and feel awesome. This is not a joke poking fun at Guitar Hero players, this is why I play Guitar Hero and find it enjoyable.
Thank you.
I just pray
that the Birmingham date won't sell out before I have the money to buy a ticket [which will be in like, two weeks].
SEEMS UNLIKELY THOUGH
Nah
Ignore him. He called you motherfucks and everything.
A) Yes
YEp. Definitely. Yes.
See
What you mean is, if you delete all traces of the mess that is "Ares" then it's an 8, as it is, a 6.
"somtimes a little too much, and you know who you are"
Hello!
None of these are really near me which is a shame because they were EXCELLENT at Birmingham in July. Perhaps I'll try and get to Nottingham.
Yep
Accurate, I'd say.
The answer
is A) Grasshopper
[still]
I am
OBSCENELY excited about this
Amen
I've always found them to be incredibly entertaining live, especially the hyperactive bass player.
Y'know, technically
the End of the Road festival is "with Jeffrey Lewis" too [/pedant]
Re: People Saying The Hold Steady Sound Like Oasis
You're just TRYING to be obnoxious cunts aren't you?
I personally
think that Neon Neon single is completely wonderful.
I fucking love this record
And I am not a dad. I am not even old. And I do not drink or drug and I hate classic rock but I love Craig Finn's lyrics and I love The Hold Steady and I fucking love this record.
Dom got it right.
Zing
Ten points to Nitkowskied, exactly what I was thinking.
The funny thing about The National
is they really are as good live as everyone says. Their show in Birmingham last week was terrific.
Re: Death Cab
Long Division and Cath... are much better than IWPYH. But I love the whole album really.

WABWAD isn't an album
For legal, contractual type reasons.
(As well as conceptual ones but I suppose that's less of a concrete thing)
In more relevant news: I am superfuckingexcited about this album.
