Have you seen her live, tho'?

This is where it 'all makes sense'... Emmy is captivating on stage, and the songs really come to life. The recordings are fine, but I'd rather spend money on a ticket than the album.

Abandon reply...

...do something useful...

Does anyone know...

... what the film is actually about? The trailer and TV ad give no clues. It looks highly suspect to me, all cynical marketing hype. But then I've yet to hear anyone slate it yet. Oi'm confuzed...

Damned with faint praise...

It's not bad but there's nothing remotely original on it and it's so painfully arch and self-conscious. I'd have hoped for something far more interesting/challenging. It's bland. I like his bow tie tho'.

Marvellous if true...

Everyone should be refreshed enough by Sunday eve to enjoy bellowing along to Sweet Caroline, shurely... Hot Chip are a shoo-in, but reassuring to know they will (probably) be there, unlike the unforgivable absence of LCD last year. I ended up dancing to Steve (bless him) Hillage on Saturday night, ferchrissakes...

Hard to think...

... of a more talentless, poxy, utterly shite band than these twats. "I want this album to be big - I've got an ego - I want the album to do well. I want our singles to come on the radio and for people to have their heads blown off by them." What a tosser. Personally, I want to blow their heads off... Why don't they just piss off?

The majors...

... are slowly heading back to the 1970's - commercial, safe, corporate, out of touch. Whilst the next few years will be painful, in time this should present opportunities to decent indies to fill the gaps. The market will be significantly smaller, but not necessarily any less interesting.
Having said that this decision is a real shame for a lot of good people at EMI. Having been through redundancy myself, I know how horrible it is.

Slightly annoyed...

... that it's not pissing down...

The Essential Mix they did...

for Radio 1 last summer was an ace house party type set. All over the bleedin' place. Yeah they can't mix for toffee but who cares. It's about the choons, izit...

The album's only really for loony fans...

... and kids' Xmas stockings. Singles are what GA are about and they have done some corkers. You put 'Something Kinda Ooh..' on at a party when everyone's had a few - guaranteed pop mayhem. Genius with hair straighteners!

BURIAL!!!!

Where is it??? You bloody fools!!
Also The Field is not only good enough to make the Top 50, it's good enough to make the Top 3!
The Cribs??? Thou art having a laugh. Why not put Mika in there while you're at it?
