He obviously

has his reasons for deciding that those songs suited a solo album rather than a new Bright Eyes record. I think that shows on these songs.

I think

you should have included Road to Joy off 'Awake...' and Brakeman off 'Cassadaga'. I think Brakeman...might be my favourite bright eyes song.

Nothing

this man makes could ever suck. Yes it's a little more stripped back and reflective than his last albums but this isn't a bright eyes record. Think of it as a debut. I love it.
