You're rubbish
You really are
no
Dorian's lyrics irritate and grate. And his girlfriend pretends to play guitar.
They are a hard working band though so they do deserve some success
£40 for the box set / £42 for the gig
Box of goodies vs. The price of a night of live music. Ive already forked out for one, do i go the whole hog?
If i buy a ticket to one of these shows, which i might have to, then it will have to be a Victoria Park date despite being from 250miles north, but i will be down for My Bloody Valentine anyway, so could hang around a few more days with friends.
All the other mainland dates clash with Glastonbury, which i wanted to go to in 2008 for sure.
If they play it thats a definite, and i will just sell my Victoria Park ticket. Anyone else?
That's hilarious. I love the way he comes across in that email, because i know so many daft cunts wh

There's no need to defend anything
I'll leave that up to idiot sing-along fans, and the band themselves. Thats the entertainment i'm on about, Noel Gallagher's honesty that Be Here Now IS fucking shit. And Liam defending it. Noel Gallagher slagging off 'Standing on Giants' or whatever it was called, but still rating a couple of tunes.
I couldnt give a shit about what Oasis do next musically. But if they finally hit a tune again i'd take notice. Something different. I dont see how though with Noel Gallaghers lyrics becoming worse and worse. Let's not forget that "We the people fight for our existence" song.
So what is it that peeves people off so much about Oasis that they HAVE TO slag them off? That makes them not be able to stop themselves laying the boot in to them?
Its not just because the music has become shit, or that it always has been shit to them. It's the fact that Oasis are still important to alot of people. That they mean something to alot of people. That they still get attention. That they are still totally outspoken and confident in what they do.
this REALLY pisses people off. Like REALLY REALLY does
but i've grew out of it.
I havnt grew out of slagging off the bands we should be laying the boot into though. The Pigeon Detectives, Ripchords, Fratellis, The Views of this world. Bands following the formula. Bands that managers like James fucking Endicott are now awaringly cashing in on. Young bands being manufatured for cheap and pushed on people by handshakes at the NME.
These are the bands we should be worrying about. Our fucking musical surroundings of the future depend on it, even if we are doing our own things
i'm over all this mocking Oasis
as of about 9 months ago. I just grew out of it i guess. They're a big part of a lot of music fan's childhoods, and now a lot of these people distance themselves from Oasis by taking the piss. (I've done it for years and its easy to do.) It's like having freinds from school who don't fit with your new "cool" friends.
They havnt released a good album or song in 10 years, i havnt bought anything by them in this period. I would never go and see them live.
But i realised that as much as i've slagged them off over the years, i kind of liked that friend from school, even if he was a dick.
In fact when i've seen that friend recently they've been pretty fucking funny, and say a lot of things i agree with, and of course a lot more i don't but i find very entertaining. That friend was a hero to a lot of intelligent people, so its a shame he hung around with the bad crowd because it put a lot of people off him, myself included.
But i'm over it now. I have fond memories from 10 years ago when this friend actually brought us all together on the cusp of adulthood. So i'm letting him off with all the shit he's done in the last 10 years. I'd go for a pint with him and maybe tell him i think he's cool.
great article
it gets my vote. Mainly due to the last bit
you could have seen them aged 11
but yeah. your right
Bjork isnt even mentioned in the ones that fell at the final hurdle...
i'm just suprised
I myself am actually struggling with the album at the moment, and am listening to 'Debut' and 'Post' alot due to this.
DOUBLE POST
jack penash must have put summet in the water
they all knocked about in Newcastle together
when they were recording for Print Is Dead. He's out of a job. They need a new singer.
WOW. It's almost like AUDIOSLAVE isnt it.

i knew this three weeks ago
but i forgot to say
scrobble_this...
well. the reason i like 'Honeycomb' is its soemthing totally different to everything else in my collection. A world music style i'm not really into done my a man i like. It's an extra colour in the palette that is my record collection, and i dont really need anything else from that particular style of music now. I can put it on in the light nights of summer months and chillax for an hour. I particularlly like the title track and Strange Goodbye, despite its cheesy countryness. Yeah. Its summet i grew to lile a lot.
