He wants to be Waits...
...he looks like David Ford
At Camp in May
They were massive fun. BATTLE OF HAMPTONS ROADS AGAIN PLZ.
Kudos on the Kate Nash
A few LOL-worthy moments but it's a genuinely affecting album and a real step-up from Made of Bricks
I may well be on my own here
But I think it's their most streamlined piece so far. The highlights aren't as great as those on Boys and Girls in America but there's also less of a need to skip tracks.
Aprt from A Slight Discomfort. That's kind've shit.
I enjoyed reading this
Expected the score, but always good to read little thesises on the hardcore/pop-punk scene =D
Poorly written review
Full of journalistic clichés. A shame, since pretty much everything else on here recently has been almost impossible to fault.
I couldn't agree more
You've pretty much covered exactly how I felt about this; gave it so many listens but started drifting off after a few songs. Like a sub-standard mix of Johnny Foreigner and Biffy.
Thanks guys
Sorry for sponging off the traffic; as I said, I agree with quite a few of the points up there.
I agree with some of what you're saying...
Alternative review
This band
Oh ho ho ho...
WOT?
NO FLYING LOTUS?
Have to say
I like Errors on record but they did nothing for me live; most of the material appeared far too samey. I'm glad someone felt the same way about The Horrors.
Also, Mogwai were bloody fantastic. The mini pit during Batcat was like some ecstatic celebration.
I mean
Keith Gillespie
"If a band gets huge and they say we inspired them, great. The problem is most of them aren't very good. What does that say about us? I don't know. Maybe we sucked. We at least can play our instruments."
I love you Jim Suptic. I'm so God-damned stoked for this.
Those are all REALLY solid choices
With the sole exception of that Mars Volta track, which is wank; far better songs on the album
NOT WORKING
ACK!
The Rolling Gladstones
Jean-Marie le Penne-Folds Five
YES
YESYESYES
Thanks for this
A worthwhile read
That's a fantastic review
Never been a big fan of anyone here, but that was still an engaging read
Dear Eddie
I love Mysterious Bruises and Demons Out!. Have you mainly been listening to 'Pleased to Meet Me'? I'll be honest, the only other album I heard that I liked by them is Let It Be.
No, I think this is right
Opening few songs are great, rest blend in a bit too easily.
You bastard
That's a great interview =(
Excellent article
SRSLY
Jimmy Eat World to bring the Clarity tour from the US to over here
Brand New to release a new album on par with their last couple
The Dismemberment Plan to reform
More Fugazi
Lambchop to play me to sleep at night
^ beat me to it
right?
Fuck you guys
I see more than a semblance of relevance
That London Gig at the Monto Water Rats
Absolutely slayed
Ohhh
Do like this Flying Lotus version
I thought they were already on Wichita
The Wichita records CD on last month's Plan B had them on the tracklist
They were awesome
at Water Rats and the Offset Festival as well. New stuff sounds ace.
Alexandra Palace?
Fuckers
Thank Christ
You guys can have some integrity back. Those extra sites were sloppy and seemed rather forced.
I'm gonna go listen to Source Tags and Codes now
Sure, I don't want them to make it again, I just want to hear something that's epic and simultaneously worth dislocating my neck to again.
Wait wait
They have to PAY to be entered now? Isn't everyone eligible?
WOOT!
Guestlist :D
Is there a law that says
Only 1 former member of Pretty Girls Make Graves can be in the country at one time?
^ +1
His post-Rage output has been fucking dire
That picture was taken at the Bar 'n Grill?
Shouldn't there be a wall about half a metre behind him?
Can I just say
That's an excellent, well-informed review
Latest Hives album?
'The Black and White Album', surely
Just for clarification
What are the Foals dates that Danananakroyd are supporting and what dates are Johnny Foreigner supporting? Seetickets and Myspace are useless...
