They were massive fun. BATTLE OF HAMPTONS ROADS AGAIN PLZ.

A few LOL-worthy moments but it's a genuinely affecting album and a real step-up from Made of Bricks

But I think it's their most streamlined piece so far. The highlights aren't as great as those on Boys and Girls in America but there's also less of a need to skip tracks.

Full of journalistic clichés. A shame, since pretty much everything else on here recently has been almost impossible to fault.

You've pretty much covered exactly how I felt about this; gave it so many listens but started drifting off after a few songs. Like a sub-standard mix of Johnny Foreigner and Biffy.

Sorry for sponging off the traffic; as I said, I agree with quite a few of the points up there.

NO FLYING LOTUS?

I like Errors on record but they did nothing for me live; most of the material appeared far too samey. I'm glad someone felt the same way about The Horrors.

Also, Mogwai were bloody fantastic. The mini pit during Batcat was like some ecstatic celebration.

I love Mysterious Bruises and Demons Out!. Have you mainly been listening to 'Pleased to Meet Me'? I'll be honest, the only other album I heard that I liked by them is Let It Be.

Opening few songs are great, rest blend in a bit too easily.
