Tumi and the Volume are brilliant as well
Enablers are absolutely fantastic live
its always a bit reverential when they play liverpool - they've got a fairly loyal following here. I cant go cause of my uncles fucking wedding...if only Enablers were the wedding band...
Up yer arse,
Deerhunter
Last chance at the Trail of Dead saloon
If they don't come up with the goods this time...hangings at dawn and all that
Funny.
Makes me want to not go to T in the Park though. Also, I'm pretty sure battles were a load ay shite, as I saw them but days earlier and they were dull dull dull, despite being amazing on record
Funny though.
Should've watched RATM, you silly bugger/buggerstress
I saw them in Liverpool
Two or three years ago.
Massively boring.
Massively.
I saw these in Roskilde a few weeks back
and thought that they were really good fun live - the slower, more atmospheric tunes came off well
I wish id seen battles back when they were supporting the ep's
The opening tunes off either ep are sooooo very good, but the coupla times iv seen battles they've only ever done the seccond half of SZ2...badly...oh battles, why do you test my loyalty so?
When're people going to finally admit to themselves...
...that BATTLES are a massive dissapointment live and that their whole live approach is tedious, uninvolving, muddy as fuck and a total disservice to their recorded output?
Boringboringboring
boring and pointless and shit
Whilst were on the subject
Id just like to make everyone who is not in practical travelling distance of liverpool very jealous - some forward thinking soul has booked Liars AND Deerhunter to appear on the same bill in June...up yours rest of UK!!!!!!!!!!
The Viking
play Liverpool Korova tomorrow...9pm get on it!
....
My old band got compared to this band in a review on teletext - reading this review I'm thinking that that probably wasn't a good thing
...
I just re-bought Godspeed's Slow Riot today to replace my lost copy. Instead of wasting time on debating how good A Silver mt Zion were, let's all listen to that instead. It doesn't have any shit singing on it.
bunch of

Fucking Coldplay eh? I wonder what 'massive stylistic departure' they're undergoing on this album? Well I'll tell ya - fuck all's what.
..
you can tell factory floor are going to sound like joy division just by looking at
a) their band name
b) the name of their single
c) the packaging on said single.
Nuff said
They's playing with
Balloons and Shit The Bed at Korova:
Czech it!
And
Roskilde?
Oh pedanticism - its great innit?
Both parts of that
were interesting I thought. I always interpreted that attitude of 'not giving in to the man' to be more informed by a disregard for pretention in some quarters - all getting silly haircuts or having to dress a certain way for a photo shoot or something like that that goes hand in hand with 'the will of the man'.
Props for mentioning Hive collective - they're pretty forward thinking in their events - pyaaaaaaarrr class as we might say.
Bosspop can eat my shite though. Bosspiss.
