and the
Women record is also brilliant.
I love
this album.
Chad VanGaalen is a genius.
i love it
very very nice.
I've kinda
lost interest in Of Montreal but must check this record.
Nottingham
yay!
Not as good as
Blood Visions, or the batch of singles he is currently releasing but still damn fine.
Some good
remixes on here. I like it.
Ooooh
harsh.
It's a good album.
they were
pretty good when i saw them.
erm
wasn't the pip paine album the work of metronomy the solo artist.
Never understood
the fuss with Presets. Everything they've ever done, except for Girl and the Sea, has been utter tosh.
Hmmm.
Harsh, i think. I really like this album, think it's their best.
i
agree
Exactly
Ha.
She's pretty
But she can't rap.
They really
need some help with their logo.
great EPs
tons upon tons of hype.
very disapointing album.
Voxtrot anyone?
Oh, and a poor quality review. 4/10 is accurate enough (perhaps a bit harsh).
And as for Bloc Party. For the dissapointment, indeed, utter tripe of their second album they should never be used as an indie-rock measuring stick ever again.
Good album
But i don't understand the Battles comparisions - Errors have a completely different sound.
It's no 9
but it's pretty good.
Chris Garneau.
I like his album.
Good stuff
I picked this up yesterday on the strength of this review.
Loving it, a lot.
...
... The Presets are terrible.
Good album...
... i agree it's more consistent than their debut.
It's still got one or two forgettable done-before-and-better moments though, tis an 8 for me.
Good record
I've had the US release for a while now and always thought it was a bit too long. Will benefit from dropping the 3 songs for the UK version.
Good album.
More like an 8.
Foals aren't math...
... That Fucking Tank are however. They're also brilliant.
i
second that. love frYars, especially The Ides.
I agree with the review...
... first few listens i thought this was a great album, it reminded me of a lot of early Hot Chip.
But it's flaws soon become apparent.
A good album, but nothing special.
Agree..
... isn't very good.
I like the David E. Sugar track, that's about it.
Excited...
... i loved their EPs, waiting for my copy of the album...

Dissapointed
Have to say i'm disapointed with the album having followed their progress for the last couple of years. In comparision to their previous recordings the album sounds dull, Albini seems to have he's taken the edge off they're sound. 'Sean', 'Channels' (EP version) and 'William, It Was Really Something' remain their best work.
Shame.
