I Think It Is On A Par With Stage Names

I don't think the band is capable or wants to make another record like Black Sheep Boy again.
My only wish is that they are through their 'songs about bands' stage

Will track a copy of this down

enjoyed Pebbles last year

John The Baker

Thanks for beinging this to my attention.
I did not know about, will track down a copy.

I think it is a reasonable album

and would give it a 7/10 (which is slightly above average and equates to a DiS 9/10, so we agree there)

But am I th only one who finds the lyrics cringeworthy? A man in his 30's pretending to be 16

Titus Andronicus

is definetly the best thing released this year, I hope everyone on here makes the effort to hear it.

respect to Mr Diver for Ruby Suns, i thought it was dreadful initially but subsequent listens have revealed delicate songs with much detail.

He probably got discharged from hospital early

cause he kept singing to the Doctors and Nurses

This is much better

I can still leave the Cut Copy album
but I agree the other 3 listed are essential.
Good work Mr Diver.

I stopped reading when Foals popped up

let it go

I pleased with this

I keep coming back to this album.
I was thinking along the lines of No Age for my favourite album so far this year but I could not get way from the Titus Andronicus album.
When I first heard The Hold Steady described, Springsteen meets punk, they never lived up to the sounds I imagined. However Titus Andronicus sound exactly like what I had imagined.
Do you know where the album can be purchased? Im still listening to a "preview" copy

HaHa that says something

only on DiS is an 8 considered a poor rating

Im not going to count them but

im sure there are alot more than 62 words in this review, I think you should apologise.

Sorry Mike

didn't mean to have a go but it was a great phrase.

There was a lovely comeent on the forum yesterday

DiS spunks out 9/10's

(which was denied)

but I have heard this and an 8/10 would not be unreasonable.

Surely you must think Hex Enduction Hour is the greatest album of all time?

and there gets a genuine 10/10

Are there people out there who don't hold this belief.

Great read your review here and I think the score is correct (maybe it's a 7 to me at the moment but im lucky that I don't have to write it in stone)

Let's all drink the long draught down.

worst place to be stowed on a sinking ship

if he had thought it through he would have asked the captain to stow him on top of the mast. Naive

Much ADø About Nothing?

ridiculous rating

Im gutted, illusion shattered

I can't believe Mark E Smith has proffesional Hedge Clippers

Ok Im going to make a shout for Re-ac-tor

I might regret this but surely you got to get this album just for Southern Pacific - Roll on

Personally Im pleased to see Ragged Glory mentioned

Its obviously not as good as Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere or perhaps Zuma. but if it had not been on the list it would have all been 70's.

The 90's were Neil best decade after the 70's with Ragged Glory, Weld and Sleeps With Angels.

However I also am a big fan of Trans it's a very good record

The problem with the score system

is unless an album is truly terrible (or is perfect) it will get a rating of 6,7,8 or 9.

Effectively each score is covering a large range in quality, someone suggested in Mike's post that a half point mark was introduced and I think this would be useful.

Having said that I really look forward to hearing this album and I dont want to be too negative about the site as on the whole it is great

2 albums in Pitchforks top 10 of 90's was wrong

It should have been 3 where's Wowee Zowie?

Having said that this new album has far too many guitar solos.

I think that is where it all wen't wrong for Pavement when Malkmus got to musically proficent. They lost what made them special
