That reply

was obviously in the wrong place. But they are. Really.

Polytechnic

Polytechnic are supporting on the remaining Keane dates.

That was 'earlier'

Covered his tracks, the BLIGHTER.

because

Kev tried to write 'dreary' but crossed out, so as to be hilarious but really, really wrong, but instead messed the tags up and made a fool of himself twice.

:(

Wow

You agree!

Almost

On the Radiohead day, perhaps. The Saturday at Stafford was the most depressing day I've ever had at any festival in five years.

Apropos of nothing

They have Guillemots as their number one MySpace friend.

Hmm

Are you drunk again Maria?

I almost said black. :o

Just in case nice_squirrel reads this

A gig at the Guild... who'd have thought it back in 2003?

Incidentally

if you can find where to buy this, apart from at their gigs, I would love to know.

:o

a bigger revelation than this story, anyway

As a former Brum resident

London gigs were always the most accessible if a tour didn't call in town - there's an 11.40pm train out of Euston, or buses on the hour from Victoria all night. Means you have quite a late night and adds £20 or so onto the cost of a ticket, but I saw a fair few bands that were only doing one-offs in London...

What?

You couldn't tell by the face already?!

I say

They are the musical equivalent of a happy meal without the toy.

What.

What media do you read then?!

Someone told me...

that the Cardigans were headlining the new music tent thing at V on the Morrissey day, I hope to christ that happens

The upstairs room

I think. The bit where the bar doesn't do draught (or didn't last time I was there, anyway) and where on a Friday night they play ska-punk and so on.

Missed opportunity

'Anthrax sent to major UK venues' was the headline that pays here

Finally

we're going to get that Pantysmile ad, aren't we?

The rules were recently changed

So that downloads can chart, but only in the week before the physical product is released.

Kind of...

If last September counts as 'just'.

I choose to boycott Tweedy

on the basis that she's a convicted thug.

Ginger one for the win, by the way.

Surely your passport is good enough ID?

And if they've lost that, surely a poor stranded Zuton we have?

surely...

that was the Town Hall or City Hall or wherever?

Bollocks?

Not that expensive to get over for it in the grand scheme of things - flight plus train plus ticket costs about as much as a Reading weekend ticket if you hunt around through the low-cost airlines etc.

no no no no no

don't even DARE criticse that lovely lady from newsround, she makes an early switch over for neighbours seem like less of a faux pas than it could otherwise be

by which I mean she's hot, of course

The Chalets go on tour, JUST TO PROVE THEY CAN

Er, Haygate, Wellington is in Shropshire, a full 90 minutes away from Birmingham. Damn you for getting our hopes up...

Re: Coldplay - Speed Of Sound

Wrong, its the intro to Doctors!

Re: Editors - Munich

Definitely echo this - esp. Shady Bard and Pioneers of Industry. See also The Skeksis. Birmingham is going places at the moment, thank god.

Re: Radio 1 getting jiggy with the new sh*t

Great news about you guys being played on Lamacq, you considered inviting him along to your first London gig later in the month?
