I think..
it is about supply and demand to an extent and also monies..
As a music obsessive I go through a lot of music and when I was at school with no money or very little, CDs were a luxury and it was at that point I was hitting audiogalaxy and kazaa for all they had because my budget could never keep up with my need to hear more and more music.
These days I have a job and I spend considerable amounts on various formats every month, but I must admit sometimes I still do opt for a high kpbs illegal download when I want to check out a band who I know nothing about..usually ending up in deletion if I dont like it. Sometimes If I order a cd from overseas which I know will take weeks I cant wait and I buy the MP3s...
I think this is already being done, but perhaps there could be a preorder for the physical releases that let you have the mp3s while you wait for the physical release date?
7/10
Kayo dot/Toby Driver has to be one of my favourite musicians at the moment.
I think 7 is steep on this one, its album of the year so far for me..its like the vespertine of their catalogue.
This album makes way more sense if you listen to toby and mia's solo work called Tartar lamb first.
Absolute beauty of an album..listen loud and without distraction. 9/10
