Pat plays bass TAP and played bass in Liars
& I agree with Dom, the drummer is amazing
"use that money as a prize for creative geniuses to make you five incredible viral videos."
I hate all this "we can't do anything clever so YOU, THE CREATIVE FAN* CAN MAKE US ONE AND GET UNDERPAID"
also, why do all videos have to be VIRAL videos these days? i'm only 20 and i'm sick of this!
*or not
I used to support Man U
to my strategic advantage: my middle name is Lee and my surname is Sharp (without an 'e'). I used to pretend to gullible friends that Lee Sharpe was my dad. When he left, the fact that they were sponsored by Sharp was enough.
When Sharp stopped sponsoring them I lost interest (in football)!
I like the chorus
In this review:
"The man-boy has nothing (more) to say/
He’s stuck raging in his own real life Groundhog Day/
Doomed to write the same two songs in perpetuity/
Desperate to revisit the heights of his debut."
Good stuff!
LOVE Kong!!!
We had Kong on a compilation of ours which you can get for £3 on www.dirtyzine.co.uk (Also features Lapsus Linguae, Optimist Club, Tiger Force, Rose Kemp, etc, etc).
And we've reviewed the Kong 7" too...
:c
!
Ice, Sea, Dead People
just confirmed to play... Woo!
[JAG]
HA
!
Country music!
On average, most suicides that have a soundtrack have a country music soundtrack rather than a Black Sabbath record going in reverse, a Marilyn Manson record or a My Chemical Romance record.
I've considered suicide whilst at a Go West concert in Butlins that my dad dragged me along to...
Ha!
Do you exist just to be pedantic?
That's brilliant. You're brilliant.
a) Yo La Tengo
Please can you let me win? None of the others have politely asked to win. So I should win!
I'd rather
headbutt them into a fine paste.
Hah
!
Haha
BAN THIS SICK FILTH
PERFECT
The Model Horror review is brilliant and I love this:
"‘Do You Think It’s Right’ jostles along fine enough, at that non-committal pace that allows teenage girls in animal print and thick kohl to prance around in front of the stage without fear of stray elbows. "
Totally perfect!!!! :D
I remember
reviewing 'Riot Radio'
http://www.dirtyzine.co.uk/content/view/4/2/
Quite proud of that, actually...
haha!!
yes!
ha
you've been quoted on their myspace.
i think you're right though. probably more of a singles band than an albums band.
He looks
a little bit like a character David Shrigley would draw
Funny thing is
Kong have been played on Radio 1. It's their latest blog on their myspace:
www.myspace.com/kongdom
But yes, they're an amazing band, they're on DIRTY's Pedestrian 02 compilation as well if you fancy shelling out three massive pounds for 20 tracks of equally great music - http://shop.dirtyzine.co.uk
Ahem.
fuck yes
kong are amazing. myspace.com/kongdom
this may be considered as cheating...
but...
myspace.com/iceseadeadpeople ! x
Bedford sticks out
like a sore thumb :D
They're great!
Nice.
ha...
well, i like it! better than the previous two singles. the first one (try this on your piano) was fucking GOLD though!
at least
it gives you a chance to sell your ticket to someone else if you can't make it.
you know...
i never actually thought about that :\
agree!
x
...
"In an age where local specialty record shops are biting the dust, a network of blogs has sprung up online, which maintains a vibrant and well-rounded range of new music."
Sad. :(
Nor me.
It was ridiculed on DiS though.
...
I might just pretend it says 8.
5?
Your review read like it was more than that?
I think they're a great band, saw them live and my eyes fell out.
I like the video.
Lots, in fact. I mean, come on - look at that kitten!!
Ditto
Saw a live video of them playing in America on Youtube, awesome performance - really need to catch them live. It was the image that threw me off (a bit too conscious) and I still don't really dig it but I guess it's part of their performance.
He's quoting
that daft cunt from The Enemy.
I like the organ.
Reminds me of Coachwhips!
croooooooonnn!!!
croon, croon, croooooooon-croon!! pull my own shirt and CROOOOOOOONNNN!
That's funny...
They sound like every THE... band the NME has said is 'the next big thing'. The only thing that separates these bands seems to be their egos, not their music, or talent, or even clothes.
I'm glad they've worked hard and played loads of gigs, etc. but... come on now.
haha!
Bedford, Bedford, Bedford.
the font on the artwork is
very 'shrigley'.
Nicely edited
I can imagine that took a lot of work to edit. Who did the opening few paragraphs?
I don't think they're good.
At all.
But he wins some respect for:
"Please justify your existence in five words.
We Are Not The Fratellis."
But then, if I were to justify my exisence in five words it might read:
"I am not in hadouken!"
WE PLAY METAL
AND WEAR SPORT SHORTS!
What's weird is...
That I jokingly told people at my birthday that I was going to change my name to Craig David Bowie and be a celebrated urban hip-hop/glam rock superstar. Now I hear Craig David is sampling a David Bowie song? This could be my own personal anthem*!
*if I actually change my name.
The new single...
...Is really great!
Haha!
That's more 'punny' than Glasvegas..!
FINALLY
MCGEE CAN ACTUALLY CLAIM TO HAVE DONE SOMETHING 'REVOLUTIONARY' ON THE INTERNET AND MENTION IT IN A MILLION BLOGS ON HIS MYSPACE PAGE.
HE IS SO DOWN WITH THE KIDS AND THE INTERNET, I WONDER WHAT'S ON HIS IPOD THIS MONTH...........!
That..
..looked like a good night. Nice one, Ady!x

Well, maybe, but Anna plays guitar
and you can just see pics of them on myspace to learn this before publishing it can't you*?
*not YOU specifically, of course!
