Hey, I love the Dandy Warhols, even the much-maligned Monkey House, but their "dangerous inability to fit with the 'corporate' plan" is long dead. The corporate plan is to make tonnes of cash by selling us back our own culture, as typified by the re-release of Bohemian Like You following a big fat $$$-making corporate ad. I'm glad they're still following the plan musically (by the sounds of this review) but once you sell out you remain sold. Of course, if offered the chance who's to say I wouldn't jump? That debate's as old as Paul McCartney.

The current editor used to work for Loaded, for god's sake. That's the Q mentality these days - glad to hear the other guy resigned. On the Q TV channel they have shows like 'FHM Presents Chart Hotties'. Awful, awful, awful. It's become a lad-infested wank mag for big sale/no talent dullards where women aren't allowed unless they're willing to show off their big tanned boobs. Depressing

If you've got Melt-Banana you don't need Tiger Force. The review aptly describes M-B. In fact, when I saw TF live they had a ten-second song called 'Cat and Cakey', which proves that they are ripping M-B off as fast as they can.

I think the problem with Ash is that they used to be amazing, back in the Trailer and 1977 days. By comparison they're now really dull and derivative. The old energy and summer fun seems to have disappeared into adult m.o.r. snow patrol mush. Sorry if you disagree but can you imagine them pulling off another Kung Fu these days?

What a shitty list of performers, why did they bother? We've all known for years that Nirvana, Jimi Hendrix and so on are great - Mr Carling's opinion is worthless and changes nothing.

Oh no, I'm going to hell. Was I the only one to think 'phew' about her not playing Glastonbury? I'm glad it looks like nothing terrible's going to happen to her, maybe I'll get away with a few centuries in purgatory.

She's just not right for Glastonbury, I was mighty pissed off when I found out she'd been booked. Good pop or no, she's a classic case of style over content - surely the opposite of the whole Glastonbury ethos? They used to put acts like her on the comedy guest slot (Tony Bennet, Rolf Harris...). If I want to see chart pop bands flaunt their lavish stage shows I'll go to V.

My Baby Takes The Morning Train was by Sheena Easton. It's a hilariously cheesey song in Monica Queen territory but I think the whole Lazy Line thing works a treat.

Well, y'know, that's very nice but when you sign to EMI you know you're getting in bed with a corporate behemoth. I'm glad Chris Martin's using his influence to raise awareness of issues of injustice in and out of the music industry, but perhaps if Coldplay were signed to an indie they could walk the walk and not just line the shareholders' pocketses, precious.
