looking forward to getting this
i've been pretty impressed with his output and he seems a decent guy, was good supporting panda bear as well
this list is actually worse than the mercury list
and i haven't even seen that
B
american civil war
polka tulkk are worth having a listen to
and their myspace says they're releasing a little album eh.
get in
wicked band, can't wait to give it a listen..
good article
couldn't give two fucks about radio 6 though really..
srsly
poor form
hmmm, not a terrible list by any means
did find the fact mag list a lot more interesting though
I read that as plague
wish i hadn't bothered now
wish I'd gone this year
seems loads better than last (for my tastes)
Quite possibly this site
but i couldn't be arsed to read it
Good stuff
Bitchfork got me onto them a little while ago, there last album's sweet as well
dude
weak
That Miike song
sorta reminds me of passion pit but, liike, better.
...
a) The United Kingdom
woah, really surprised to see a 6 down there
I don't put much weight on the mark, but for me this is at least an eight. They were fantastic last week as well.
I was mighty surprised when I saw her at the blur gig
might take in the album at some stage, just seemed like one of those things that would be better live...
Actually reading this back
isn't it 'The Fun Powder Plot'?
considering some of the seven and eights you've been spaffing out
5 does seem a tad harsh.
Just giving this a listen now
and I'm enjoying it a lot ...
Yeah, but we shouldn't be ignoring them
we should be challenging them and trying to engage them in serious rational debate so other people will see them for what they are ... unless they're just trying to be ironic with the title whereby they're saying that they're ignorant as well. Meh, whatevs
If everything goes smoothly
I will have left cumbria for london by then! Bonus
I knew i recognised that name
think I met one or some of them at latitude last year
That's a great pulp video
cept the violins far too loud in the mix
a) Saint Dymphna
¿Does it come in XXXXL?
great review
I'm still waiting for my copy to drop through my letterbox
Yeah, I can't make my mind up on it
It's sorta great at points, but then it sorta grates at points.
My god i remember having this on cassette
absolutely loved it 13(!!!???) years ago, must've been my second or third album bought after great escape and maybe common people or something.
Ah shit
not heard it yet but if this review is accurate then that's a damn shame, listened to the EP about 5 times over the bank holiday weekend and it's just brilliant
just listening to this now
and i likes it
For about the first seven seconds of this
I think it will be as good a read as the previous instalments. Alas it is not...Yes I know, saviours of DiS, best thing ever etc. Yawn.
maybe i'm being obvious
but it really reminds me of 'digital ash in a digital urn'
not like he's the first 'solo artist'
with a producer making it good, enjoyed the review though, 7's about right, maybe a high six so far
ha
i thought that as well
