re: html breaks
Oh good. You can use <br/> to force a line break, at least.
Comments and carriage returns
Could we fix things so that carriage returns get formatted properly in the comments? Are we expected to put html breaks in instead? Does<br/>this<br/>work?<br/>
RSS Feed?
I can't see an rss link for the new site... is there going to be one?
Re: We like trucking and we like to truck. Truck Festival 2005: reviewed
oh, and I forgot the lovely Whalebone Polly. And the rather splendid Will Bartlett's Jazz Orchestra in the pissing rain.
We like trucking and we like to truck. Truck Festival 2005: reviewed
Yeah, I caught Chris McMath last year. His set this year was a bit... unexpected, to say the least. If it wasn't for the spiderman I wouldn't have known it was actually him...
Interesting stuff, regardless.
Also loved : Chris TT, Martin Grech, 65 Days of Static, and the utterly insane Scaramanga Six.

Sleater-Kinney - The Woods
I confess I'm a total SK newbie, but I do love this album. Any recommendations on previous works to pick up?
Sigur Ros Dates & Album information
They're still on, are they?

Yay! Can't wait till Sunday!!
Truck Gets Even Better!!!
Sweeeet. I'm dragging a bunch of Truck-virgin friends to this one, so I'm feeling kinda responsible for them having a good time :)
Here's hoping it's as good as last year.

Re: The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
Whoever told you they did an hour long encore is a lying bastard.
However, it was probably the best gig I've seen, so feel free to cry anyway.

Re: The Arcade Fire - Neighborhood #3 (Power Out)
Yeah, I thought they were disappointing on Jools. Having seen them at both Kings College & in Bristol, I think they're absolutely stunning.
- The Machinist
Jesus, I was wondering what had happened to this one. It came out in the US months ago...I assumed I'd managed to miss it & it had gone straight to video.
Reigns - We Lowered A Microphone Into The Ground
Just as a followup : took a while to properly grow on me, but this is a damn fine album. I especially love Chandeliers and the beautiful opening track.
Random recommendation : if you like this, check out Whips by The Wind-Up Bird. Gorgeous concept album with a rather harrowing mid-section.

The Fiery Furnaces - EP
Has anyone heard anything about a UK tour?
I discovered Fiery Furnaces a year ago when they were supporting Franz Ferdinand - would love to see them again now I now their stuff a bit better.

Re: The Arcade Fire - Funeral
Hah, snap. Looking forward to that week...though I suspect that getting up for work on Wednesday & Thursday is going to be tough.
Re: The Arcade Fire - Funeral
Yeah, looking forward to that King's College date. I convinced a friend who's never heard of them before to join me - looks like I got tickets just before they sold out.
Anyone know what King's College is like?

Gah....note to obscure bands : for the love of god, put some mp3 samples on your site.
That said, I'm intrigued and tempted to pick this one up. I take it the background track in this Flash movie (http://www.jonsonfamily.com/adverts/reigns_jfr018_movie.html) is off the album? How's that compare to the rest?

Arcade Fire: release early on iTunes
*blink*
I didn't even realise that my copy was imported. That would explain why noone's heard of them over here yet then...
Good album, can't wait till they finally get round to touring over here.

Muse
Mmm, it was a rather good night. They sounded fabulous, and the visuals were amazing - love the strip-screens and the giant balloons :)
I discovered confetti in my pants later on. I have no idea how that got there...

Re: Bright Eyes: UK & US tour dates announced
Sweet jesus. That's about 60 seconds walk from here - I'm so very definitely getting those tickets.
Re: Lostprophets
Clever...I see what you've done there.
Is it me, or is the quality of DiS comments plummeting over the past couple of months? I'm no huge Lost Prophets fan, but posts like this are utterly worthless.

Futureheads?
Ugh, I've somehow managed to see the futureheads twice already, supporting various bands, and was bored by them both times. Not a particularly good live band, IMO
