I'm looking forward to this.
Broadcast were superb. Totally out of the blue.
gonna be lazily satirical
loved the beta band - had no idea of any of this. Maybe Dr Baker was saying something...
kinky shit that you don't understand, but go along with because you think you should.
just with better album artwork and pitchfork approval
There's nothing like being reminded of your barren cultural wasteland and existential angst as you open a claims for you circular.
Shoes and Socks Off - Muddy Banks of Melitzer
Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion
Atlas Sound - Logos
Casiotone for the Painfully Alone - Vs Children
Lightning Bolt - Earthly Delights
proper bright eyes
but that free energy band just scream 'OC soundtrack'
is pretty lazy and derisive.
Dull, whiney and a bit like the corrs
but i'm not an internationally famous rapper.
and 200millionthousand was shit
not very noisy either.
bright eyes' lifted but a bit less dramatic
can't be arsed now.
there's a hell of a lot of bands that sound almost identical to this though. i think some site called pitchfork promotes this sort of thing.
from under the western freeway
brighten the corners
barr, casiotone, lovvers - perfectamundo
you'll see they don't much care for interviews and whatnot. They tend to answer everything with something along the lines of 'its just music, listen to it' i think its quite refreshing in a blank sort of way.
but they owe me a few vinyl singles!
DOES IT FUCK LIKE A MAN?
small. i'll kiss your balls if you pick me.
and i'm usually a hopelessly devoted conor fan. shame.
i'd move to bognor like a shot
sylvia plath, bar the dubious lyrics.
great fun live, as long as you don't take them as seriously as they take themselves
to be lol-haired
fantastic lyrics, fantastic melodies. can't wait to hear this.
maybe i'm just a whippersnapper who didn't see the initial wave of devotion around ok computer but i heard idiotheque and karma police around the same time (at 12/13 i think) and i loved both, i think i may have even leaned towards the former.
