Saw the sex pistols at the free trade hall once,

y'know. He.

missthing

if Dizzee 'did a runner with the money' then he would face criminal liability for theft, an action for breach of contract or an action in tort for unjust enrichment.

not likely is it, you utter cretin

i thought it was fairly common knowledge

that she's playing Glastonbury, 4th from top on the Jazzworld stage, Friday

theres a nice

reading/leeds shaped hole in there

i'd save the one who replaced

the smackhead.

because he's ever so slightly less culpable.

they won't have read about it

because it wasn't reported

'the knuckleheaded glastonbury crowd'

what on earth are you talking about? why is Glastonbury described in those terms as opposed to every other major festival?
you obviously haven't been, or if you have, then you obviously didn't stray too far from the 'knuckleheads', otherwise you'd have met some right decent people.
you knucklehead.

Kookaburra

Phil Boyle
Newcastle x 2 pretty please

'a good job', Really?!

I think it misses the point about pretty much everything; the debate has switched now to the NME's dubious style of sneaky journalism, rather than the now ubiquitous gates flooded quote, probably as its slightly less strong than the average Conservative manifesto. Morrissey gives a context to the interview, which adds a lot of anecdotal weight to a widely held idea, that the NME appallingly attempted a doomed hatchet job.

Why are

Arctic Monkeys obsessed with making things incredibly difficult for their fans. They rarely play shows that are possible for most people to get tickets for, on the occasion that they can be arsed to actually play live. the five minutes with...EP was barely pressed enough for each of their actual hardcore fans to get a copy, let alone general music lovers, and now this.
Not wanting to do interviews with all but the least-cretinous journos, and not whoring their songs out to channel 4 promos is one thing, but being a bit precious is another.

American Beauty

The Who
Dylan

The trailers use Baba O'riley stunningly well.

Quadrophenia is also great, though obvious and somewhat tenuous given the subject matter.

John Cale's score for American Psycho is also wonderful (not to mention a Genesis(!!!) Huey Lewis (!!!) and New Order (!!!!!!!!) encompassing soundtrack)

What the hell is with...

...all these bands wearing 'class' as some kind of badge of honour. ok, oasis, roses, mondays etc. always kind of insinuated it, but bands like hard-fi, twang, the enemy etc. actually use it as some kind of selling point, and in doing so attract not regular working-class people, but bunches of f**king yobs to their gigs - and now to festivals (leeds fest this year was hideous at many gigs). no wonder you need to go to ATP for a decent atmosphere nowadays

Glasto lies.

It's so annoying when people make up stuff about glasto. I camped just behind the pyramid stage and the kaisers didnt pull an exceptionally big crowd as I sat at my tent and waited for The Who. I saw The Killers' last song as I returned from the Stooges gig, and it was regrettably the biggest crowd I've ever seen.

Idiot.

"I want to go to a gig to listen to good music, played by musicians. Not go to some fucked up fashion show, presented to me by NME, the best magazine for fickle music listeners"

Why on earth did you go the the NME tour presented by 'Shockwaves' then?
Surely you knew what it would be like. And for the record I attended the Newcastle gig and I thought each band was at very least quite impressive; and I'm usually your typical snob.
