METAL IN YOUR ASS
its a rock hand.
I'll be going to see them for sure.
Im really excited about hearing this
It feels like ages since 'Damaged' was released. This should be an interesting album.
I've always wondered
who was keeping a tally.
Surely it wasn't Lemmy, he's obviously preoccupied with more important things than statistics.
good ol' Lemmy
An ex girlfriend of mines mother was one of the 1200 women he apparently bedded.
what a trooper!
You dont like much
do you?
LOL
Murray: I’ve told you when you’re in a band, you don’t get with your band mates girlfriends, past or present. You get in a love triangle, you know? You get a Fleetwood Mac situation. Although there was four of them so more of a love square, but no one gets on. Mind you, They did do some of their best music back then.
Bret: Rumours?
Murray: No, that’s all true.
********
I downloaded an advance copy of this album a few weeks ago, and I definitely wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be.
I do think 5 out of 10 is slightly harsh though...
I think its a great EP
Cobwebs is one of my favourite songs at the moment...
Apart from the songs 'Peacebone' and 'Fireworks', I thought Strawberry Jam was lackluster compared to 'Feels'
But im digging this EP at the moment.
MSG Has
2 Different parts to it
It has the WaMu Theater and the Garden.
The garden is probably the one you are all familiar with, its a 17,000 capacity.
The WaMu Theater however is where Bloc Party played, and it holds around 4,000. I would imagine that Justice are playing here.
I went to see Muse in the Garden last summer and it was amazing.
what an absurd statement
boo-urns to you sir.
Im excited about this
they're a fantastic live band too,
I've seen them twice and both times they were excellent.
Its a terrible thing really
Ive seen Babyshambles live and they are far from a festival headliner, crowds only seem to react to a select few of their songs, normally the Libertines covers, which they apparently dont do anymore.
MBV on the other hand would be amazing.
meh
to this
good to see
He's feeling better.
Mike Diver
was being generous in his review of Calvin Harris' album apparently.
Rock on the Beirut
oh yes.
Kid A
was fucking fantastic.
pffffft
.
I'm willing to bet the bonus point you've just won
that it sounded absolutely nothing like the Velvet Underground.
I seen them live
in 2002.
I danced.
They were good.
From what I can remember...
although lyrics are certainly not everything....
I shall quote Hard-Fi's 'poetry' from their track 'Hard to Beat'...
ahem...
"You had a dirty look, you caught me on your hook
Turn up the thermostat, I want to see you sweat"
also..
"Read all about it, have you heard the latest?
Boy in a band dates a hollywood actress
But baby, you and me, we came up from the street
No time to hesitate, we've got to push our weight"
and not forgetting..
"Like a fist, can't resist you, oh no
I tell you something "
And who said rock and roll was dead??
What should I make...
as a snack.
Toast, with a tin of spaghetti with the wee sausages in it.
or a super noodle sandwich.
decisions, decisions....
Too much fodder
to even know how to begin my rant.
So I wont.
I honestly think
Radiohead have NEVER released a bad album, every one for me has been mind blowing. I cant wait for this, it sounds amazing so far!
could be worse
could be Hadouken.
cant wait
for the album, im loving the single and I think there is a lot of potential for something magical here. great stuff from the ex-icicle.
EVIL EVIL EVIL
Cock-gobbling, cousin-groping, stray dog-fondling, anal-invading, no-talent bastards.
You will be the death of music.
ive seen Editors
3 times live, twice as a support act and once at a festival.
They are such a mundane, boring band.
I just cant get into their bland and monotanous music, and clearly, zee German police cant either.
and
what a band name!!!!
my gran
listens to snow patrol, I'll make sure and pass the news on..
yep
you got that right Kayleia.
The Twang
Played in my town (Derry) a few weeks ago, around 40 people turned up to see them. After a VERY disappointing gig, we were walking out of the venue, when the singer was standing at the door on his own, probably fishing for compliments.
My friend said to him "You're the most exciting thing to come out of Birmingham since UB40" , and the singer said "cheers".
It wasn't supposed to be a compliment.
the number system
was a great idea, even though it wasn't in order! nineteen was such a good song =]
Cat Powers to Shortlist Prize victory...
probably the worst pun i've ever heard.
nme...
also said that about The Twang. Christ.
well...
touring for months on end is something that the majority of bands do, like it or not. I can sympathize with people who would have to endure constant gigging, but threatening to quit and crying to your mum on the phone backstage because of constant touring is uncalled for, especially for a punk band. Like most singers, he will be the subject of ridicule to certain people, but hey, thats life. He probably is a nice guy, but he really does need to grow up.
Isaac Brock...
Is a complete legend. This was totally out of order.

just heard the album
Absolutely brilliant stuff, miles better than BHAR.
MK Ultra is the standout track for me, and while the 3-part symphony may be seriously over the top, it fucking works.
