who's going?
I'm going! :D Well, to a few of the club gigs anyway (festival passes cost an arm and a leg)
hahahahahaa
god bless guitarists in big capes.
when I saw them
they had a massive singalong/playalong/jam with 30 people on stage.
I played a solo on the recorder! :D
CAN I PLAY?!
please?
We'll do it for free!
satyricon
are, as far as I am aware, from Oslo.
hahahaha
surely "single of the year".
Cut my cake into pieces, this is my raspberry tort...
why
the piss have they stuck an ø into their name? If possible, that just makes their name even more ridiculous. It's like Smirnoff Nørsk, which had the ø in it to make it look more scandinavian (it didn't work - Norsk is a word, Nørsk isn't).
Also, they're shit.
Malajube
are ACE! They sing in French and scream every now and then.
course I could
and I'm not even british!
"Eeeenglaaaand, real ale, chips and beer. Trackies stuffed in socks, too dim to rhyme. ENGLAAAAAAND." The lyrics need a slight reworking, but as for melody, just get drunk and scream it out whilst surrounded by people who shave their heads and think that rugby shirts actually constitute something stylish to wear.
Caught these guys live
on April 1st in Oslo. No microphones or anything, the guy just shouted "Hi, we're Red Sparowes" before the proceeded to make GROWN METALLERS CRY.
fucking awesome.
same goes
for Oslo, really. There's an explosively good local scene here (at times). The hip, happening acts also stop here and play everything from a 200 capacity venue to the 4000 capacity arena. I once saw Sigur Ros and a small orchestra cram themselves onto a stage the size of a dining room table in the student union thing.
There's also a festival every year that has some rather ace acts. This year there's...err... Beck and Morrissey headlining, and they're the worst acts announced so far.
Yeah, I'll send you some samples if you want.
they might be successful
but they're still utter cack. :-/ I fear for music.
yeah
hot like herpes
hear this
as a five times Roskilde-goer, i proclaim it the best festival ever. 3 quid for a crate of beer! Not good beer, but beer nonetheless.
looking back
this is the most hilarious comment ever.
it is
really quite ace, Dan, well done! :D
WE BELIEVE IN MUSIC (or why it’s really, really im
Not that I actually read it all, I haven't got the time to read the comments of stubborn people (like me) arguing with other stubborn people (also like me) about who're right and who're wrong. However, it's nice to see that people actually care enough about music to do so.
Anyway, I bought "Silent Alarm" on the day of it release purely because I knew it to be a wonderful album. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter who releases what, who owns who and which pen signed what paper. As long as the music's good, then nothing else really matters.
So, What's the ..... of the year?

Re: Whatever Happened To The Teenage Dreams?
Holly's Demo Hell...she is still to give one single good comment...even so, some bands choose to quote her on their websites. must be trendy being crap or something :P

A Tiny Guide To Moving Home
Ahem...
Re: TAPES
(To all authority: I don't deal in bootlegs. I don't even know what a bootleg is. What were we talking about again? )
The Beautiful Ones
Re: yes
I wanna buy more cds, but I can't get a job. So no money. And there's not a very good selection here either. For example, finding cds by the great band Luna Sea is impossible. No ones even hear of them, even though they're like THE most famous band from Japan...
To Tape Or Not To Tape
I use tapes for bootlegs and to record the two first bands I was in (if anyone wants to hear something truly awful, msg me). As for when I'm out walking, I use a discman. How you ask? well, I carry it in my bag. And when I come to think of it I also have my mini-disc and walkman with me in case one of them should run out of batteries. Which they constantly do, since my walkman was probably made in the late 70s, my discman is allround shabby after five years use and abuse. The only thing actually working is my minidisc, but I've run out of discs, so it's not too exciting listening to it now.
And a mix cd is more fun to decorate than a tape. more space.
Stereophonics- Does it get any worse than this?
Well...hopefully they'll have some sort of fancy video that I can turn of the sound to and play some other music instead.
