Is right. It's a rubbish review. I'm not going to write my own, or pointlessly pontificate on what constitutes a good or bad review. I'm busy doing stuff. But it's rubbish, so there. You should know better. Hey, and I'm not even a fan of The National really, but I can recognize a badly written piece.

You saw them. I was exploring all of Canada this summer, and managed to miss the band a staggering 4 times. Just couldn't be done. Shocking. Quite right ending with I'll Believe...., fantastic song.

But nobody has pointed out that the album is comprised of only about 6 good songs. I think the Wainwright track as well as some others (that dribbling idiot Banhart) are pretty pointless. Someone up there said the first album is crap, i totally disagree. Every song is great, and The Atrocities, River of Sorrow, Twilight, and of course Cripple.... can top quite a few of these recent ones.

....this summer, some huge ornate church in Vancouver, and it was amazing! Admittedly I had one too many in the Loose Moose around the corner beforehand and the gig is a little bit hazy. These things happen though.
