It's late and farily pointless but...
What exactly is a true fan? If you mean somebody who will claim to love anything a band has ever produced, is being a true fan really such a good thing?
was wondering when somebody would review this...
Hear, hear.
you didn't know
what a lycanthrope was? Ah, I see. It's me who's sad.
lovely...
Goodbye lunch.
Presumably
...that's outstanding as in we're still waiting for it.
I saw that
Listened to the stuff they put on their myspace a while back (Capillarian Crest and Crystal Skull) and thought it was rubbish but today it sounds better. I'll probably buy it eventually.
aaaargh
The hair! The hair!
Sounds good.
Looking forward to this now.
...not really.
Frame the 7"s and stick 'em on your wall. Excellent decoration and the satisfaction of knowing that you're of the few lucky sods to have the lot.
Had to collect them twice but happy now :D
Calm yo street teaming asses.
I'm not saying they're Hot Hot Heat copyists, just that Ban The Gin's chorus, style of singing and melody reminds me of that song. I'm not slighting the band.
quite surprised
...that you didn't attempt a pun on the guy's name.
bollocks
"There's a trick for you under-agers, though: tell 'em you're twenty-something rather than eighteen when challenged, and you'll be fine*."
You probably have to say something over 25 for that to work. I'm 23 and 6"1 and get IDed all the time. And then I still get funny looks after I present my provisional driving license (acquired solely so that I could drink). Maybe it's because I'm incapable of growing worthwhile facial hair (not that I'd want to).
Best award in the list.
Just think how stupid you would feel winning it...
Listen to
Ban the Gin and tell me it doesn't sound like Bandages by Hot Hot Heat, someone please.
...
Zombina & The Skeletones because they're great, would wipe the floor with them and are poppy enough to steal their fans.
Gah.
Now I wish I could go.
The Priory
...may be good for celebrities who need to detox but for the poor sods who end up enjoying the other side of their hospitality, courtesy of the NHS, it's fucking useless.
That said, good luck to him.
I wonder what would happen
...if she took a pop at Islam...
mmm
I've probably listened to my Hendrix best-of more than any other. No duff tracks there.
Hurrah
I hereby nominate the term 'root note bassist' for inclusion in the OED.
I have long wondered why so many bands contain unnecessary bassists.
___________
Can anybody name me some bands without drummers? A lot of the time they don't seem to add a great deal to bands' music other than to serve as a faulty metronome.
Bollocks.
Never got to see them :(
neither
JP if he wasn't dead. I don't really mind so long as whoever they choose isn't an egomaniac.
Tool - 10,000 Days
The packaging is silly but I like it. Not as classy as Lateralus though. Not so keen on the album, unfortunately. Prefer Lateralus for proggyness and Aenima for singalongability. A few good tracks though.
Do all the Blunt worshippers
...believe that he's singing about them?
The Woods
Still listening to and loving this album. I tend to go overboard on stuff and then can't listen to it for ages but not this.
Brilliant!
This has made my week.
Jools Holland
In the trade they call him The Imposter.
He's so patronising it's unbelievable. Could somebody explain why he is given airtime?
Missing b-side
I think the reason for the absence of the excellent session version of 'Friends Stoning Friends' (easily the best recorded representation of the Mclusky live experience) is that they encountered difficulties when trying to get the tapes from the BBC. This was given as part of the reason it took so long for the box set to come out.
How sad am I?
*rolls eyes*
And now I love it.
okay but...
Blast Tyrant was far superior.

Re: 65*daysofstatic - The Fall Of Math
Anyway. Go and download 'Assault on Precinct 65' from their website. It's an excellent mash-up of samples and the soundtrack from Assault on Precinct 13.
