    Hoorah

I adore Guillemots with all my heart, Kriss Kross is a great song but I'm surprised it is a single. Thinking as record companies do I didn't think it very single friendly. I would have guessed Cockateels or Words instead but this is great news.

Though charlie, what are you talking about? Red is a great album throughout personally I don't think its uneven, it just doesn't flow stylistically that easily.

God that sentence made me sound like a twat.

    Gary Numan

    Always a good shout.

Im adding Fleet Foxes to the list - Not british but beautiful indie circa Bon Iver (also not british right?).

And Late of the Pier. Everyone needs LOTP in their lives

    I'll happily admit

The streets 1st album is brilliant and I like them, then again I also like L!C so :p

I don't really know whats big on the forum but I don't really like Foals, or Battle, I never really got it. Lots of people hating Johnny Foreigner but I've not heard enough to form an opinion.

Animal Collective, I never used to get but I love them now, and those insulting MGMT or Arcade Fire I say give them more chance, they are actually great.

People who are hating things, what do you like? I'd be interested to know what kinda things you listen to instead

    Sorry,

But I find listening to music with a good beat great when Im revising, maybe its the monotonous of it. So I like Simian Mobile Disco or Daft Punk, just on quietly.

Alternatively, Portishead and Kraftwerk are both great.

If you want more relaxed stuff, classical music is always good, the There will be blood OST is beautiful, or I really like revising to Devendra Banhart or Bright Eyes-Im wide awake its morning

    Okay

So there are a bunch of gigs that make you question the point, and I do spend alot of time at every gig thinking that the audience is full of twats, but then I go to gigs like Lightspeed Champion, Willy Mason, the Flaming Lips and the Arcade Fire and I remember for every second that the flaws, the bad sound, the annoying people, the dehydration and getting squished and the dying for a piss for an hour is worth it, because the atmosphere, the connection you get with the people around you and the band make it worthwhile-you're all there for the show and its worth every penny.

Keep at it man, you'll find that amazing gig one day

    It was 1996,

I was nine, and I recieved my mums copy of Travelling without Moving by Jamiroquai because I liked it and she didn't. Its still one of my favourite albums, no matter what people say

    I can only think of

DFA 1979 and Test Icicles, but at least their split gave me Dev and Ilove Lightspeed Champion so I forgive them for splitting

I can only thing of Jeff Buckley as another, does death count?

    Yann Tiresen

Puts anyone in a french mood-he did the amile soundtrack but he has other similar albums too. Makes me feel like wandering around Monmatre

    So real

    Gotta be.
    I love Dev-He is Beautiful

    Id say

Start with Radiator, like everyone else :P Its Classic SFA goodness and you HAVE to love Herman loves Pauline.
Meanwhile I'd also strongly suggest Geurilla-it was the first SFA album I fell in love with back when I was about 10 and I still think its genius, and go for Rings around the world over Phantom Power I'd say, but that may just be me. Its also one of the more electronic of the albums but for the most part the electronic songs just pop up along the eclectic albums just mentioned.

    I like it

Its a bit preppy, I think Mansard room is a teeny bit twee it makes me smile. Id hardly say its indie, its just got that something that makes it a bit different.

Ive got 3 songs and I cant wait for the album

    Noo

Please DO NOT let crimping become a craze. It will be embarrassing, and will destroy the Mighty Boosh. Its already becoming slightly less funny in its desperate attemps to shoehorn in previous popular characters and jokes so that BBC3 will show it at a more resonable hour and make more people watch it

Just imagine watching people crimp. Iw

    He was

In a cock and bull story, and gavin and stacey and he used to have a character called keith baratt i think that was very funny.

    Oh, and lots of voiceovers

I thought the show was quite funny, David Mitchell was hilarious at times and I did enjoy the Brand/Biggins romance.

    umm

Black lips, and the black kids, oh and Vampire Weekend. I heard a DnB song by Mitsibushi or something and that pretty much blew my away.

    Umm theres so many lol

    I hope

they don't get Tom involved-poor kids got enough on his plate being raised by Max and OB.

Is Godspeed you Black Emperor the song that was on (aka the one from 28 days later) as I've always loved it and never knew why

    Its not their fault

They're tall, we can hardly take it out of them

Besides, be grateful you actually GOT to go to a beirut gig, unlike some of us (i.e., me)

    I didn't think

Clinic were that bad, if they weren't dressed strange I bet you'd be way more open to them too.

Gig was beautiful-I loved how they made a halloweeny effort too.

    okay

    I already wanna change mine

    this is shit

    I'd Say...

    -The Super Furry Animals
-The Red Hot Chili Peppers (Pre By the Way, Minus One Hot Minute)
    -Jeff Buckley
    -Rufus Wainwright
    -The Smiths
    -Muse
    -Kings of Leon
    -Radiohead
    -The Flaming Lips
    -Willy Mason
