Saturdays = Youth has a great front cover,
I had it up as my desktop background for about two months. Haven't listened to the album, just a few songs.
Comfort comes with the inclusion of I was a cub scout, one of the best titled albums of the year (genuinely) and a very nice band. Some more variety would be good, as one poster said - but these choices encapsulate the sound of the site, and should make people happy.
I can technically include
the remastered copy of Mission of burma -vs that was out in 2008
so that's in the ok pile, along with
bratmobile - pottymouth (1993)
pere ubu - the modern dance (1978)
yes - fragile (1972)
a lot of stuff out this year had an unbearable over produced quality to it, hence the above
can I just boost 'ok to 'quite good'
for alpinisms
kill twee pop- sarandon
the only actually good one, some ok albums were scars on broadway and school of seven bells
(review of nothing)
(untitled)
I like it, pessimistic

I love covers
they usually have some redeeming qualities. The worst thing I've ever heard recorded was myself doing sweet and tender hooligan, and beyond that the numerous guitar only covers on youtube. Nobody cares that you can play guitar.
