Forget the north/south divide, how's about recording the visceral impact of a collision between...ooh, let's say London and Manchester for example. And then just sitting back and watching it implode in the faces of you and anyone else brave enough to come into contact with it.

OK, so Louie aren't Mancunians - they list York, Cumbria and Cheltenham among their places of origins - but having uprooted their collective bums and satchels and hopped on the 7:33 to the Big Smoke they seem to have discovered a blazing fire in their bellies that spits pure punk rock in little confetti-shaped orange sparks.

'Dead Man' has all the ballsiness of the earliest punk records (think 'New Rose' and 'White Riot' for starters) and all the cocky swagger of the latent Manc come-an'-'ave-a-go-if-you-think-you're-'ard-enough set, which makes it a pretty exciting prospect indeed. What's more, at two minutes and 33 seconds, there's no time to get bored either. Brutal.

you forgot to mention

THEY SOUND LIKE JET

Thats

a little harsh I think.
Louie may be influenced by the latter end of the 70s but Jet???? Its forever 1975 in their world, right...

good song this

Louie > you

Louieiiouiioiiouioe

Louie should do ok...the right people are making the right noises. Pleasant enough tunes but lacks a killer breakthrough tune I feel.
