London based trio The Tamborines sound for all the world like a band who should really be living somewhere on the west coast of America having inked a deal with K Records. As a possible reference for the future it's wishful thinking but not necessarily as farfetched as it may seem.
‘What Took You So Long’ embarks on its long and winding journey via an insistent kick drum and droning Farfisa organ, giving it a feeling of being the best song The Dandy Warhols have never written, which is pretty high praise indeed.
Flipside ‘The Great Division’, meanwhile, is a more laid-back and sun-kissed affair and can only suggest that Hammersmith and Borough council are obviously putting something a little spicier than chlorine in the local water supply.
Music to dream yourself to sleep to.
