With this single Milk Kan *takes you down a wonderful road of folksy antitude. Bowling out of your stereo like a less political *Billy Bragg, this acoustic trio comment on modern society with a wit and twang that is increasingly noted and lauded today. As we demand more from our music than mere dance moves, the bands of the moment deliver. _‘Bling Bling Baby’ _is a bouncing circus of Saahf London rhetoric foiled by a mildly ska following and a lightning snarl from the kind of singer that Mike Skinner could never be. The sheer quality of the lead track is backed up by a couple more stellar annotations of the apparently quite dastardly world in which we live. Tailored exquisitely for breakfast radio, daytime radio, drivetime radio and your local indie club, there is surely no way that this can fail.

Sounds like
a cross between Carter USM and the Only Fools & Horses moosic. Not a bad thing.
Staggeringly Good
Nowhere near their best song mind.
Just wait 'til "What You See Ain't What You Get" and "Without You" get released.
Surely they'll be massive?
Milk Kan
Isn't that the name of the band from a computer game?
What's it called. The one that came after Parappa the Rapper.
Um Jammer Lammy?
"a cross between Carter USM and the Only Fools & Horses moosic."
ok, NOW i will investigate!
i did say
that it should be your favourite whatever
Saw these headlining a gig my friend's band played
the other day. Interesting is not a word I would choose. They attracted a crowd of 0 (and this was IN Lewisham, where they are from) and had their set cut short by a maddened soundman who clearly saw my (our) pain and wished to relieve it.
Fucking gimmicky bands.
well
i'd never heard the thing when you mentioned it. so yeah. HENCE MY CONFUSION.
It's
Subteranean Homesick Blues done by Streets. Fact.
