A song apparently written to make you spontaneously dance like Carlton from the Fresh Prince, ‘Bottle Rocket’ is probably the finest moment from the Go! Team**’s Big Prize nominated album.
If they chose to, this lot could probably sell any product on earth by soundtracking the adverts with their happy-go-lucky-pig-in-chocolate-mud beats and broken biscuits happy-hop collages. Fortunately, they don’t. So just because Jimmy’s happy-slappy killing an old lady in East London, he can’t blame it on ‘Bottle Rocket’ being the reason why he bought that flash phone in the first place. Which is lucky.

I was extremely disappointed when I saw them live. I kept missing them and finally saw them at glastonbury... and they sounded terrible.
Amazing album though. The Power Is On is their best.

I left the Peel tent after they stopped playing for a while to sort out the sound. I couldn't be arsed.
Thankfully, the sound at Reading was much better and they were great. And the HMV instore I saw them at the other week was great too. It was quite amusing watching them do the instrumental Sonic Youth-type stuff at 6 in the afternoon in a shop.

Love The Go! Team - was at Leeds Festival on the Sunday watching them on my own while all my mates were at Poo Fighters - I definitely made the best choice. If anybody in that tent WASN'T dancing by the end of their set they must have been dead....

Not a big fan of 'em, but that song they did live on The Mercury Music Prize Awards with like eight cheerleaders shouting "GO! TEAM" was genius. Help me out.

Bottle Rocket is quality. But I still prefer 'Get It Together'. The only track I can think of that uses a recorder, and damn! It sounds good!

Just discovered these - they were playing as pre-band music for Starsailor last week - as a result of which I've been to get the album and I love it to pieces.
