Bollocks to The Bravery! - let me tell why in four words. They. Got. No. Soul. Once again this pathetic troop of hair-finned fashionistas and tarted-up 80s throwbacks are trying to peddle another excruciatingly dull three minutes of uninspiring electro-indie pap in our direction. “I just want, I just want love” Sam Endicott sings during ‘Unconditional’s bridge. May I suggest dear, that the only way you'll find it is by stepping away from the microphone. What a lousy, lousy vocal, and what a sickening set of trite, lazy lyrics - “I want something / Something for nothing” he coos in the chorus. Jesus! Julian Casablancas has got a lot to answer for. It doesn’t matter how many guitars The Bravery use, this re-release still sounds like a discarded outtake from a Human League b-side session.

There's nothing wrong with liking Oasis, or should I say specifically 'Defo Maybe' era that is. Anything after that then thats a different matter.

The Bravery made a good record. I like it. I like them. They're good live. This backlash is unbelievable. And this might be a re-release, which is pretty annoying, but at least it's a re-release of a song whose original version is as rare as rocking horse poo and £30+ on eBay.
I don't know why people compare them to The Killers either... they don't sound that similar, and the The Killers have great singles but dull-as-ditchwater album tracks. And they're dull live.

Hmmm, they're bearable rather than good live - Sam Endicott can't sing for toffee. But the album is very good.

I disagree entirely. Lyrics are shite, but the song is fucking class and I'm not afraid to say it. Mind you, I'm not surprised it got a 1. Maybe DiS reviews should be a little different once in a while.
