Ooo, more angular kids on the block... this time it's We Are Scientists, one of the A&R hits of the SXSW festival, and already here they go with a major label deal and an infectious, dance floor worrying debut single.
So, what's the score? Simply put, it's the sound of* Hot Hot Heat* taken to a hep New York suburb, and, putting your jaded misgivings aside, 'Nobody Move, Nobody Gets Hurt' is a summer scorcher of a pop smash (copyright Sun Newspaper [A group of the Rupert Murdoch-owned News Corporation]). It's a freewheeling, jerking tale of casual, danger-free love, and it says "hey, I'm a geek, but have sex with me, it doesn't matter baby, it's like the summer of free love all over again, suga". What's more, it's a rollicking hi-hat hugging rumbustuous tune and worth of anyone's £2.
