With a whole new generation of Bovver Boys coming to the fore (Hard Fi, Dustin's, Young Offenders Institute), now may be a good time for Audiobullys** to take a cheeky sidestep in their career to avoid being seen as the Phil n'Grant Mitchell of the music thug world (ageing, slowly losing their powers).

And, ignoring the fact that, thanks to Mike Skinner, we actually have the real Mitchell Brothers on the scene, this is what the two South West Londoners have done. Fusing the voice of Nancy Sinantra** to a radically re-worked version of 'Shoot You Down' (as made famous by Tarantino's Kill Bill films), it all sounds a bit more dapper and elegant than most things off of their 'Ego War' album out two year's previous. Which is a good thing, because you don't want to stay in this game too long; there's always someone else looking to take you down for your top dog slot...

I'm not deaf in the traditional sense of the word, no, but I am def in the Leppard/Jam/II mid-80s sense of it. Although only in one ear. The bottom one. Thankfully that's the one I listen to music with. The other one I use to intercept phone calls for top secret MI5 business that I'm not permitted to talk about. Although the conversations I've heard between Thom Yorke and Abi Titmuss would make your average Radiohead fan's eyes bleed.

I'm pretty sure it's Shot You Down. Anyway, this song is pretty bad, the use of sampling is not very creative. I like the video though.
