Departing The Libertines has done wonders for John Hassell. His new jangle pop band Yeti have harvested a debut single of infinitely optimistic proportions. With Whatshisface seemingly caught in drug addled, tabloid terror, his new quintet’s first 45 whistles along to a totally different tune. Whilst the pubs, clubs, drugs and tubs have been taking their tole on Doherty and Barat, the bass player (now lead vocalist/guitarist) has been hard at work carving out irresistible gems such as ‘Never Lose Your Sense of Wonder’.
If you’re after Arcade Fire intricacies or soul searching contemplation look away now. On the other hand, if you fancy a three minute bop through ebullient guitars, crystal clear harmonies and lots of positive vibes (man), then this tune may just be what you’ve been looking for.

They are quite bad.
Re: Yeti - Never Lose Your Sense Of Wonder
I realise how late I am descovering these...
but i really like them.
Whilst in the Libertines, John always carried himself with a dignity that Pete and I suppose Carl didn't and his new band have followed suit.
They haven't been thrust into our faces like Babyshambles and DPT. We haven't been forced to listen to the embarassing antics of their fronyamn, they're letting their music do the talking. They probably won't be as big as the other bands spawned from the Libertines, but that doesn't matter. At least they won't turn people off straight away by annoying the fuck out of them.
