Shouty, shouty ‘post-punk’ with an occasional hint of tune, 'Blue Team Go' is one minute 18 seconds of ferocious energy, galloping guitars and...not much else.
Like a less stylish International Noise Conspiracy, The Mint Chicks employ the disjointed style of The Pop Group and Pere Ubu but unfortunately never add up to anything more than the sum of their influences. The painfully tinny ‘DIY’ production doesn’t do them any favours either.
Whilst the sheer energy of the single is potentially exciting, this ultimately sounds like a half-finished record: shambolic, under produced and nothing new.
