Trundle. That’s the word.

There is none of the same quirk as we saw in the psychedelia of the gorgeously bleeping ‘AM 180’ and less of the of the emotion we saw in the heartbroken collection of followups. It's less than what it used to be and yet there appears to be some sort of acceptance about it. *Grandaddy *seem to just be trundling.

They’re using more guitars than ever before now, but still just sprinkling keyboards over the top in swathes of electroglory. Jason Lyttle’s yearning pine is as soulful as ever and almost makes you think there is a little more substance. Sadly, no. It’s not left lacking the basics (nice tune, sound structure, etc.), but they’re not basic. Or at least they shouldn’t be.

I guess it’s my fault for expecting something different _and _good. Bah.

How you resisted writing 'Jason Lyttle’s lonesome pine is as soulful as ever[green]' is beyond me. But then I have a fatal weakness for obvious, unfunny and excrutiating puns.

actually, I thought about changing that line to a similar pun while reading it through
but thought better of it as I pondered the imminent scorn of my stupidass joke
it wouldn't have even qualified as a joke

I think it is brill! Would not look at of place on 'Sophtware Slump' and ALMOST as good as 'Crystal Lake'.
