Does the world really need a Stacey Q revival?

No. It does not.

Annie's second single "Heartbeat" sounds like a cross between Stacey Q's 1986 single "Two of Hearts" and one of the weaker tracks from the Pet Shop Boys' debut _Please._ However, what should have been a G-A-Y stomper is a fairly weak pop-dance track that hardly leaves Kylie shaking as she injects her botox. Utterly lacking in the sticky catchiness of "Chewing Gum," "Heartbeat" just flatlines.

While the radio edit is mildly inoffensive, the Royksopp remix manages to take a weak song and make it worse. You can download it for free from www.anniemusic.co.uk but really, isn't there a better way for you to spend those six minutes?

They've sure not come within a lightyear of anything as shimmering and disarmingly beautiful a tune as "Heartbeat". not that I was expecting too sensible a review of it on here when there's yet another 2-month Biffy clyro toilet tour on or new Mars Volta record imminent or summat... ;)

Hell, that 'Whatever happened to the likely lads' toss didn't even *have* a tune to pin it together...

I have to say, from having had the misfortune of watching them on far too many occasions over the years now, Biffy Clyro's music does have a tendency to make venues smell of old man's wee, yes.
