Big, fist-in-the-air rock from Jared Leto’s Thirty Seconds To Mars, ‘From Yesterday’ is quite clearly the Kerrang! Award-winners’ (best single, for their last, ‘The Kill’) most boldly mainstream standalone yet. Massive chorus, yep; the rest, kind of floats by without ever engaging its audience.
But that chorus, man: winner. U2 don’t even make ‘em like this any more. Make of that remark what you will on your way to scanning downward to that mark out of ten based on me not giving one solitary fuck about hollow but glossy mall-rock like this.

This is an OK song
Shame about everything else they have ever done
you're sick in the brain
this is actually offensive
