No-brainer good-times dance from 22-year-old Australian Muscles (aka DJ Flex), newly signed to Modular, ‘Sweaty’ is a classic sounds better in a club effort which, in an echo-y office (i.e. the DiSopolis), simply has us wanting to listen to numerous other no-brainer good-times dance tracks from the recent past. Most notably, Stardust’s ‘Music Sounds Better With You’.
A little jolly-dirty – “I’m sweaty, but I still want to touch you if you’ll let me” – ‘Sweaty’ will undoubtedly make the playlists of countless indie/dance deejays across the capital, but while its simple message of Peace! Love! Ecstasy! is admirably matter-of-fact at a time when the nation’s still deconstructing the underlying connotations of Radiohead’s latest, this potential banger lacks hooks hefty enough to make good on its on-paper promise.

And seeing this review has just prompted me to upload it to iTunes. Good work
Peace! Love! Ecstacy! Unity! Respect!
