Band that can seemingly do no wrong turns this way and that. As vain and self-absorbed kings come and go they serve cross-over hits whilst basking in their own mad sunshine, and now throw us an almost Bacharachian gem with this tantalising forerunner to next album, Hey Venus!.
Swimming in the dreamy swathes that typified Phantom Power rather than the acid-pop that provides their real edge, ‘Show Your Hand’ is still hewn from a rich seam and glides on a joyously melodic horn and vocal exchange. There’s little that sits in the ear more sweetly than Super Fury Animals in this form, and that leaves small room for complaint.

Not their best
three minutes by a long way.
A real grower
I love this song now after a couple of listens, SFA are at their peak again.
Super Fury Animals!
Top typo thrillz.
I listened to 'Ice Hockey Hair' on the way to work this morning. It made me to a little cum.
Majestic.
I thought that despite the reviews, 'Love Kraft' was their worst album, but the new album is their best since 'Radiator' and ( thus is a bald statement...) I reckon you could make a compelling case for saying that SFA are the most consistently brilliant British band of the last decade-and-a-bit.
I think
Run Away would have been a much better choice for opening single off the album.
It's still quite good though.
Just bought this on 7"...
Best song...
:-).
Good review and all.
nice picture disc
I just bought the 7" and although its not their best song... the artwork on the 7" is amazing.
zzzzz
