Editors: Bullets
As the vogue for re-releases continue, it’s time for Editors to step up to the plate again with the single that kicked it all off way back in, erm… January this year.
It’s easy to understand why though and reasonably as simple to forgive, for ‘Bullets’ is a fine, fine song and the most original pop moment on their suitably fine debut LP. Indeed, sounding like U2 wearing mascara and big coats, singer Tom Smith manages to drop in the word ‘disease’ roughly 48 times but still make it all sound rather uplifting.
See them at a large venue near you soon…

Editors - Bullets
Its an amazing song. The radio edit, however, was shit. -
Editors - Bullets
if the radio edit is the same as in music video, i was equally apalled - but i now prefer the sound of the newly mixed version, ace song either way! -
Editors - Bullets
The lyrics to this song are crap. -
Editors - Bullets
Shit all round. -
Editors - Bullets
They're being supported by We Are Scientists on the tour. Top.
Pointless re-release mind. -
Editors - Bullets
there are new b-sides and the track has been re-jigged, definately not 'shit all round'. -
Editors - Bullets
I don't like re-releases, but Editors are excellent and so should be forgiven.-
Re: Editors - Bullets
after repeated listens this song doesn't hold up.-
Re: Editors - Bullets
unbridled guff -
Re: Editors - Bullets
After one listen, this song is awful.

Editors - Bullets
i really dont want to join the crowd and slag editors off. im niether here nor there with them, but fair play to them. i will say at the times i have heard the album, bullets is always the song i skip. i was wondering have they re-recorded this so people buy it (this version isnt on the album) because they themselves feel rereleases are a cop out?? Good idea i guess but still...no. -
Editors - Bullets
Their best single, I reckon.
But yes, the radio edit sucks ass. -
Editors - Bullets
bands re-release singles all the time, its pretty normal, and i have no problem with it, especially when the song has been changed and gives you a chance to hear some new songs. eitherway editors are a top band. -
Editors - Bullets
easily the best song on the album, apart from maybe 'blood'. admittedly, it's a bit 'current' and all that, but their choruses are a lot stronger than a lot of their contemporaries.-
Re: Editors - Bullets
i agree probably the most instant song on the album, been good both times i saw them, i agree not the most original band but then again who is? there's only so many notes for people to play with-
Bullets
This isn't a great song, and I didn't think they performed it that well on Jools Holland the other night either. Personally I far prefer Munich and Blood. It's also a re-release, which I don't think anybody likes.
