Misty's are back, and it sounds like they've shaken off a few cobwebs. This new single rattles along at a fair old pace, and feels a little like being run over by a big fuzzy, friendly dog on wheels*. Wooo! Hey Man! Keep your panties in your pocket! Mistys' brand of pop probably sounds unlike anything you'll have heard in recent times - maybe because there are so many instruments and musicians in this renegade arkestra, and when so much effort, practice and coordination is required, silliness is normally put in a box in the corner. Misty's don't like to imprison silliness. They let it out, get it stoned, and push it centre stage to be a dancer. Where it tangles with the brass section, wobbles around a bit then plays some honky tonk piano on the b-side.

This single is a perfect quick blast of exhilarating, sunny, blue-sky smile-pop. Misty's Big Adventure can be relied upon to combine manic creativity with infectious humour and sharp hooks... listen to this twice and it'll be the soundtrack to your summer.

(*At least, I'd guess that's what it feels like, because this hasn't actually happened to me. Yet.)
