Since the delectable 'Catscan' first appeared on the 'Dance To The Radio' compilation last April, This Et Al's name has usually preceded words such as "potential", "soon", and "happening".

Well now, three singles into their short career it has finally happened, in that This Et Al have made the classic single anyone with half an ear trained to all things exciting knew they were capable of.

'Wardens' is a schizophrenic burst of noisy guitar blasts coupled with the odd repeated couplet - not unlike bedfellows !Forward Russia! - that sticks in your brain like gelatine coated marsh mallows covering a gaping hole where your retina should be. "He wore a swastika to your wedding..." says singer Wu in an engaging, enticing manner before reminding us of "What a swaggering debut!" it was! Startling.

Its co-pilot 'Rotary Queen' meanwhile shows a more reflective side to This Et Al's armoury, like Muse during their most pensive 'Absolution' phase.

Blinding then, in so many different ways.

Moribund said they were shit

I said they weren't too bad, but not very exciting.

But we did see them at the same gig.

I'll stand by my previous comment I think

Not as good as

'You've driven for miles and not remembered a thing'. But this is still pretty superb.
