Ra Ra Riot: Each Year/A Manner To Act

The tale of Ra Ra Riot is a momentarily sad one; the death of drummer John Pike last month was shocking for those who knew him and a prick in the consciousness for the people who were aware of a promising, tipped band.
At least any newly-focused attention on the band will be rewarded by a sweetly affecting and gently grand new single. Sounding rather like a folked-up re-imagining of The Clash’s ‘Lost In The Supermarket’, it’s the sort of thing that nicely represents the sort of Indian summer we all hope we’ll get following a washed-out July.
If ‘Each Year’ is an indication of material to come, you can be sure that things will work out fine.
