Ratatat announce new album, sure to be a Classic

Ratatat - them who play guitars and like to dance - have announced details of their second album, Classics.
Released through XL, it’ll be in shops and CD players on August 22nd; the single ‘Wildcat’ precedes it by quite a distance, released as it is on the 25th of July. Like Cat Power’s The Greatest it is not, as the name would suggest, a hits compilation – that’d be uber-silly.
The tracklisting:
‘Montanita’
‘Lex’
‘Gettysburg’
‘Wildcat’
‘Tropicana’
‘Loud Pipes’
‘Kennedy’
‘Swisha’
‘Nostrand’
‘Tacobel Canon’
It says comments below but I recommend you just type “Ratatat” over and over. It’s like taking your index fingers for a dinner and a movie…

ratatat, ratatatatatatat
yeah it's fun
Ratatatatatat
yup, I agree with the typing.
On to the band though, the first and last tracks on the last album were fantastic. The rest is very good for tidying your room to. I saw them at the Metro club and went to chat to them afterwards which produced the following conversation:
Filip: Why aren't you the headline act when the headliner's an unsigned band that no one's heard of and you've got a great album out?
Ratatat man (with two girls beside him and a bottle in his hand): You know, you're probably more famous over here than we are.
I liked that.
They had an album where they took the (instrumental) first record and put hip hop samples over the top. It's impossible to track down but was reviewed in quite a few places and makes this technically their third album, no? At least number 2.5 anyway.
Mouldy old dough
Episode One
Brian Wilson: hey, is this paul?
Ringo: no man, it's Ringo...
Brian Wilson: oh, uh, so....
Ringo: What do you want?
Brian Wilson: uh, uh nothing...I'll ring back later....
General Pigeon
cluck cluck
cos the headliners were Noissettes
who destroy all faces.
also, the guitarist in ratatatatatata (yeah, fun) threw his e-bow into the audience, only to angrily search it out after the set.

I didn't notice that
and I thought the Noisettes were rubbish.
They did seem rather up themselves in a non-band up themselves way though so willyhammer point taken.
In other news I've heard some of the new tracks and they're pretty good. The single has probably the most annoying sample in it (the wildcat of the title) but is also quite funny/funky. I wouldn't be surprised if it was used in an advert sometime soon.
They have it up on their MySpace:
