Rise: London United... it's this weekend
Stuck for something to do on Saturday? Bored of knocking about your London flat, making tea and eating crumpets, listening to Gavin Peacock go on and on and on about how stressful penalty taking is? Might as well take a trip to Finsbury Park, then...
This year's Rise: London United Festival (click for a link) takes place in the north London park on Saturday July 8. Among the main stage performers are Graham Coxon, Common and The Duke Spirit - and there are many other stages, too. Best of all, the event's totally free.
An anti-racism event, the festival kicks off at midday. The full main-stage line-up looks like this:
12.00pm DJ Kayper & MC Inja
12.45pm Mentor Kolektiv
1.30pm Killa Kela
2.20pm Sway
3.00pm The Duke Spirit
3.45pm Roy Ayers
4.45pm Common
5.45pm Graham Coxon
6.45pm Buzzcocks
7.45pm The Wailers
Everything wraps up by 8.30pm.
For full stage information, and directions, please refer to the festival's website.
