Top Parisien sophisto-pop types Phoenix - last heard soundtracking crazed Japanese nights in 'Lost In Translation' - have announced a new album and single, as well as a UK tour.
'Alphabetical', their sophomore LP, will be released on May 3rd, with the preceeding single 'Run Run Run' out on April 19th.
The record follows their previous, excellent album 'United' after a space of four years.
In addition to this, the band will be hitting these shores for a short tour. Dates are;
May
24th : Glasgow - King Tuts
25th : Manchester - Hop and Grape
26th : Bristol - Fleece and Firkin
27th : Birmingham - Academy 2
29th : London - Mean Fiddler
The band are also playing an 'intimate' date at the London Metro on Oxford St next week. Hopefully we'll be able to give away some tickets. Stay tuned.

fantastic band. can't wait to see em again. shows around the last album were great, but new album's not quite as good. "United" was awesome.
